Pennsylvania Voters: Please Save Us!!!!!!!!!
A Public Sevice Announcement. (I realize it won't matter, just a blip in the blogosphere. But just want to get it off my chest.)

If Hillary wins by any kind of margin in PA, then it's clear that she will continue to drag this out.

At this point it would be a Pyhrric Victory, because if it continues to drag on long enough for her to have a chance of winning, Democrats will have become so polarized -- and the image of Democrats so tarnished -- that the nomination will be meaningless.

It is long past time where this should continue to go on. The back-and-forth is damaging both candidates, and is turning off voters. If this primary battle continues for much longer, the nation will have become so burned out that the General Election will just seem like an afterthought. And McCain may well be the victor as the "Not Democratic Fuck Up" candidate.

Please spare the rest of the country from this. Please do the right thing and, even if you might prefer Hillary, look at the bigger picture and put an end to it by voting for Obama. It's the most merciful thing to do right now.

2. Easy doom-foreteller. It'll all be fine....
... Sure, it would be more convenient if Clinton actually lost PA, but it isn't a necessity. Her candidacy is already dead, she just refuses to admit it. We see dead people, as it were.

10. The only way Hillary can win at this point....
is by dragging Obama's reputation into the mud with right-wing attacks.

Maybe if she weakens Obama's electability so much by such rotten Hannity like attacks she might convince the Superdelegates to overturn the math.

In which case, Mccain will be a shoo-in.

15. So why did Hillary go along with it earlier on?
Strange she went along with all that "disenfranchisement" until her campaign hit the wall, she decided it would be to her advantage to drag it all out and to pretend to be the 'champion' for Florida and Michigan voters.

13. If that is what Hillary were really trying to do, you might have a point
Edited on Sat Apr-19-08 12:33 PM by Armstead
But that is just more divisive spin from the Clintons.

Let's say theoretically, the early primaries had gone differently, and Hillary were far ahead and mathematically almost a lock in early winter.

Do you honestly think she would be an advocate for "counting all the votes" if that were the case? Nooooo, she'd have instantly adopted an "Let's end this thing" strategy and accusing Obama of being a spoiler.

28. Hillary should stay in the race and get as many votes as she can
she has every right to.

It's unfortunate that she can't do it with dignity and respect for her fellow Democrats.

19. doing all we can
heard Obama speak in Williamsport yesterday - he was amazing - our two Dem County COmmissioners were there too
been canvassing and phone calling and having a major concert/fund raiser tonight - big GOTV planned on Tuesday - and this is all in the norther tier - Bradford County is very conservative - very red - it feels good here but Tuesday will tell - Obama's ground game is something to see - there is no Clinton activity here - supporters yes but no one is walking the streets and knocking on doors for her

22. I am/will do my part!
Just got home from the grocery store. As I was loading the bags into our Prius, the lady next to me complimented me on the car. She added "Oh, and I LOVE your bumper sticker!" (Obama 08 sticker that I put on a magnet). So we started talking about the election, how we can't wait for Tuesday. We've had, in addition, an Obama sign in the back laying on the trunk cover (you may remember the story about the guy who called my husband a "nigger-lover" because of the sign). I asked her if she wanted it, and her face lit up like a Christmas tree. She couldn't wait to get home to put it up in her window.

I love sharing the wealth, when I've got it to share.

So no matter what she will not drop. If she loses by 95% she will stay in just to hurt Obama. So I wouldn't hold my breath..

40. My son and I both voted Obama
Unfortunately my wife voted Clinton. ;(

Still, that's 2-1. :)

The other day she nearly caused an accident when we drove by some Hillary supporters with "Honk for Hillary signs". I tried to hold her off but she got a hand on the horn anyway. We only wiped out a hot dog stand. Just kidding about the hot dog stand. I did tell her this morning that this year the Hillary voters had to wait on the side of the building until 9pm and they would all go in together to cast their votes.

She didn't buy it. I tried.

And yes--in the general election I'll vote for either nominee over McCain. And so will she.

She's been a democrat all her life and I thought for sure she'd vote for Hillary; I was delighted to learn otherwise. My parents have always been republicans until this year. They are part of that group of newly registered Dems.
