21. Me, too, Maddy, I knew I liked you. Mostly I enjoy being left-handed.
I am married to a left-handed man. Sometimes it's tough living in a right-handed world, but I believe it makes me and other lefties more adaptable.

18. It is true. Left-handed people are smarter...
Are left-handed people smarter than right-handed people?

"Well, in a way, left-handed people are smarter, and I'll tell you why," Dr. Oz says. "Left-handed people can deal with more incoming information that doesn't come in an organized way." Dr. Oz says this is because of the way the brain develops when a baby is in its mother's womb. "The left brain normally controls your right side, which is really powerful," he says. ", it allows the other side, the right brain, to become an equal partner."

Because left-handed people can use both sides of their brain more readily, Dr. Oz says, they can process information coming into their brain in different ways more easily. "That's why athletes do so well when they're left-handed. And there are a lot of presidents who have been left-handed, and there are a lot of folks who, because they can deal with a lot of complicated issues at once, work pretty effectively," he says.

23. Interesting
I'm right-handed, but I have a real affinity for left-handed people. I unconsciously seek them out all the time. One time I had to hire people and build a new staff. I ended up with 7 out of 9 being left-handed, without the slightest idea what hand they used.

helps in soccer. They never see that left kick coming. LOL

28. Lefty for Hillary
I checked out Obama's basketball clips and I gotta concede he's smooth, a lefty and a playa. Bit of a high dribble but that's all I could quarrel with.

Lefties dominate the sportsbook circles in Las Vegas. Must be something about numbers and puzzles.

29. Count me in - I am left handed!
Left-handedness and intelligence

Some studies argue a correlation between left-handedness and creativity/intelligence.

Wikipedia on Left-handedness:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_handed

(snip)

In his book Right-Hand, Left-Hand,<30> Chris McManus of University College London, argues that the proportion of left-handers is rising and left-handed people as a group have historically produced an above-average quota of high achievers. He says that left-handers' brains are structured differently in a way that widens their range of abilities, and the genes that determine left-handedness also govern development of the language centers of the brain.

McManus also says that the increase in the 20th century of people identifying as left-handed could produce a corresponding intellectual advance and a leap in the number of mathematical, sporting, or artistic geniuses.

In 2006, researchers at Lafayette College and Johns Hopkins University in a study found that left-handed men are 15 percent richer than right-handed men for those who attended college, and 26 percent richer if they graduated. The wage difference is still unexplainable and does not appear to apply to women.

(snip)

Left-handed persons are thought to process information using a "visual simultaneous" method in which several threads can be processed simultaneously. Another way to view this is such: Suppose there were one thousand pieces of popcorn and one of them was colored pink. The right-handed person — using the linear sequential processing style — would look at the popcorn one at a time until they encountered the pink one. The left-handed person would spread out the pieces of popcorn and visually look at all of them to find the one that was pink. A side effect of these differing styles of processing is that right handed persons need to complete one task before they can start the next. Left-handed people, by contrast, are capable and comfortable switching between tasks. This seems to suggest that left-handed people have an excellent ability to multi-task, and anecdotal evidence suggests that there are more creative stems due to this ability to multi-task.

30. Lefty/Amby
I use eating utensils, write and draw with my left hand but I cut with scissors using my right. Most things that require arm strength I do with my right hand, like working with a wrench or screw driver. The intricate things I do with my left. As for my computer mouse, righty.

35. I have exactly the same pattern
:hi:
I think it is kind of unusual. I once caught myself writing on a chalkboard with my right hand. I have injured both arms. I think that it was a little harder when I injured the right, but I was able to do more gross motor operations with my left arm and hand eventually.

And McCain...isn't McCain lefthanded only because he can't use his right hand? Or was he a lefty before his war injury?
