Lower Merion,PA update! PCIntern Seder Poll of Progressives!
I had the fortune of leading our Passover seder of 22 folks, I must say, quite intellectual and progressive. It was a great honor as an in-law to be so selected - really. Subtracting the children, the count was:

Obama: 14
Clinton: 2

Of the 14, 4 had reasonable reservations, parroted some of the Rethug talking points and were quickly corrected by the rest of us, and 10 were 'there' for him. Issues involving ministers, Farrakhan, and the like were generally disregarded and felt to be red herrings. There was extreme respect for the Clinton supporters and virtually everyone in the room felt that if these two are the two with whom we are left, then either is OK. Most in the room had 'lost' their original candidate, Edwards obviously being the favorite in that regard.

We're talking about upper middle class, somewhat 'landed-gentry' Jewish people, 5 generations in the US (obviously NOT my family of origin!).

FYI, I began the seder by stating that it was an historic Passover, not just because it was the last time that we would have George W. Bush in the White House for Passover (greeted by cheers and applause), but that it was the first seder in my adult lifetime that Moses was not with us - that Charlton Heston had died, and that politics aside (something hard to see in DU, I know) it was somewhat sobering in a strange way.

Well, that's all for now.
