3. He removed his mask finally.
The real Bill is just a republican hack. Ask Greenspan, who called Bill "The best republican president we have had in a while"

5. I wish him every success in doing so.
I hope his charismatic leadership will forever banish his "Third Way", DLC, pandering to the right, legacy from the party.

25. Why has't anyone tried a "Third Way" in the Republican Party?
I find it FASCINATING that "Democrats" don't ponder that at all ... and just swallow the shit.

17. Why? Because he doesn't occupy the Closed Government wing of the Dem party that Bill leads
and fewer Dems are still following now?

Because those Dems waking up and JOINING the Open Government wing of the Dem party are managing to earn your wrath?

18. You know when WJC stopped being my hero?
It was the day Clinton tried to call Barack "fairy tale" Obama out on not being against the war from the beginning. It made me flash back to a TIME magazine article I read as an undergraduate, circa 2003, in which Bill essentially said that if he had been in office, he would have done everything George W. Bush had done Re: Saddam Hussein. Unlike his wife, who merely voted for the IWR, Pres. Clinton said he would have come to the same conclusions about WMD, launched the same invasion against Iraq, and regretted nothing. Outside of international rhetoric, his quibbles with Bush were mainly on the homefront, I was disappointed in my hero, but as he was the only Democratic President I'd ever known, I simply filed it away for future reference. In fact, for a time, I wondered if he wasn't right about Saddam all along.

Then, this year, he says he was against the war from the beginning, and claims that Barack Obama wasn't. That's the moment when the hero of my Grade School years slipped and fell off of his pedestal.

I forgave him for lying about extra-marital affairs, but lying about an event concerning hundreds of thousands of lives is simply inexcusable in my eyes.

Is it OK in yours?

24. chuckle. I was an Edwards supporter at the time ...
... but, for me, it was Bill's post-Iowa "fairy tale" distortion of Obama's Iraq war position that begin to shift me from neutral between the other two leading candidates. Before the Clinton campaign ratcheted-up the negativity following their third-place finish in Iowa, I'd been indifferent between Clinton and Obama, should Edwards not win the nomination; but the increasing negativity, starting with Bill's "fairy tale" spin, has pushed the Clinton campaign closer and closer to John McCain in my esteem.

22. I don't think Bill has done irreparable harm to ALL Democrats, really.
We can recover. But his legacy has certainly been tarnished by his actions during the campaign.

You don't have a leg to stand on in judging the matter of who is a real Democrat and who isn't.

10. I believe it is information available today via the internet that has exposed his legacy
NAFTA, Most Favored Trade w China, Telecom Act of 96, Banking Mergers-these are the policies that have lead to many of the problems that face this country. They might have been good for the short term-but their effects are now being felt-and it ain't pretty!
