If Obama is so weak as a GE candidate, as all you Hillary supporters claim...
Then why is so much of the right wing pulling for Hillary to win the primaries? I mean you even have Rush Limbaugh setting up his "Rush the vote" ploy, to try to get Republicans to switch to Democrats for a day and vote for Hillary.

Rush and co. know that Hillary would get creamed in the GE. That's why they want HER and not Obama. Although it can't be proven, I even suspect this is why the repukes may have lent her Karl Rove for a bit, or one of his surrogates.

Oh... another argument -- it's an UNFAIR fight because Obama is outspending Hillary 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 on certain primaries. (UNFAIR I tell you, UNFAIR!!!) Well, where the hell do you think that Obama is getting all that cash that Hillary can't get, even with all her corporate sponsors? From millions upon millions of GRASS-ROOTS volunteers mailing in $10 or $20 or $50 at a time. Heaven forbid the most popular candidate wins...

All you Obama supporters, the next time (or several hundred times) you see the posts that Obama can't win the GE but Hillary can, then PLEASE raise this issue in those threads -- if this is the case, then why do so many Republicans want Hillary to win the primaries so badly?

1. Really....
If Obama is so easily beaten, why can't Clinton....BEAT HIM? What does that say about your candidate? Just asking, no flaming.

5. If McGovern was so easily beaten, why couldn't Humphrey... BEAT HIM?
That's what your argument is.

No, that's your argument.
Obama is not McGovern. To even think that is to be delussional, and just because you say so, doesn't make it in anyway accurate.

In the same vein of your made up analogy, my own is that Barack Obama is like Abraham Licoln.

11. But that's not MY argument
Me, the OP, is pointing out that Hillary is the candidate of choice for the GOP, so they can cream her in the fall.

By the way, McGovern ran against Muskie, not Humphrey. And Muskie was undone by a series of well documented tricks pulled by Nixon's CREEP, because the Republicans wanted to run against the weaker McGovern. The same thing that is happening on a smaller scale now with Clinton and Obama.

17. And Humphry would have
done so much better? or would they have come up with equally specious crap to tear him down if he had been the nominee?

7. I really think we're just yarfing at closeted republicans here
not all but most... and certainly the ones that post and claim to believe all of this preposterous crap

the Democratic Party isn't going to fly apart

"They" ain't "us"

if you know other wise... well I believe ya...

this is just what it looks like up in here to me

DU has graciously provided me with a Serenity Button... which I refrained from using until it became obvious... by BELIEVING or even acting as IF these were Democrats... I found myself goaded into an anger, I've really only experienced for Republican spinners in the past.

8. Here's why.
Republicans want this contest to go on for as long as possible, and then for Obama to win. Rush wants people to vote for Hillary for this to go on as long as possible, NOT because he would rather run againts Hillary.

It is true that a longer contest might hurt us. But the damange due to the length of the contest is much, much better than an almost certain loss with Obama. He is the most swift-boatable candidate we have ever run. If we were going to run someone who wants to change the ways of the "old politics" of guilt by association, we should have ran with someone who wasn't associated with Ayers/Rezko/Farakhan/Wright. And someone who is universally well known, so made-up lies won't define the person.

You've spent too much time in Bosnia under sniper fire. Or was it in your backyard cleaning up the doggie poopie that got exaggerated a bit?

12. Well if I just look at who has done better in the primary
I'd conclude that if they think Obama won't do well in the GE, they must think Clinton will absolutely BOMB in the GE.
