As an Obama supporter, I am glad Zogby is not on our side this time!
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 11:35 PM by thewiseguy
After their single day poll yesterday suggested that Obama had a 6 point lead, today Zogby suggests that Hillary now has a 15 point lead in Pennsylvania. (Based on their Sunday polling alone) So there was a 21 point shift statewide after 24 hours! Given that there was not any major news regarding either candidate, I think Zogby is full of shit.

After what happened in Ohio and California I am sure glad that Zogby is not our side anymore. Maybe we are going to win Pennsylvania afterall?

We are going to shock the world on Tuesday! YES WE CAN!

Insider Advantage and ARG are also showing Hillary's lead in Pennsylvania is narrowing. Trend seems to be Obama's friend as we close in on the Pennsylvania primary.

So please. I am feeling dizzy by your spin already.

Obama will win the Pennsylvania in GE. (when he is running against McCain)

19. Yes, sadly it is.
If he can't beat Hillary in PA, then he is unelectable against McCain in the General Election. Not against McCain in PA, but overall.

Sorry -- should have sent you a memo.

Oh -- and HRC people are voting for McCain because they are *real* feminists who don't like how Michelle Obama's stylist dresses and accessorizes her.

Thats about it!

29. So Clinton wins if she can squeak out a win where she was once up by 20 %
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 11:42 PM by bigbrother05
After her opponent has been trashed by the MSM for four solid days, she will have a triumphal resurrection and will storm to the nomination.

Man, I want some of those happy pills you've been getting, it must be grand to live in such rosy surroundings.

7. I was referring to his poll numbers.
I am surprised by how he puts a new spin on his poll numbers day after day. One day the lead is expanding, and the day before the lead is shrinking!

10. I think Zogby is right. HRC's own campaign boasted on their 20 point lead in PA.
Now suddenly it's gone? And then when she wins by anything less, they can spin it like she's the friggin' Comeback Kid? I don't think so. I'd rather assume the worst, not get complacent beforehand, and not feel devastated afterward just because the HRC campaign managed to trick me.

NGU.

16. Truth? No one has a clue. After 7 weeks, we are SO ready for Tuesday.
But the polls are whacky, so don't even consider any of them, because none of them have a clue.

We only have til Tuesday to wait, after all this time! And both candidates are working their hardest, doing their best. May the best person win (PA), and Obama win the whole shebang!

20. Things are looking good for him IMO
His national numbers are rebounding in both Gallup and Rasmussen. I was getting a bit worried about that.

Also two other polls that came out today suggested that he either has the lead there or Hillary's lead is narrowing.

Trend was not Obama's friend before Ohio. His numbers were dropping. That is not the case this time.

I am just heartened by the support and the money he has raised. She can't top either of them.

22. Barack can't win PA. It'll be 5-7% loss, I think.
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 11:33 PM by PseudoIntellect
Only a few outliers had him ahead of Clinton.

Still, it will go down as a great performance in a place where the demographics and stuff heavily favored Hillary, especially when he was down by almost 20% weeks earlier. And the delegate gains will be insignificant. NC will cancel out PA.

25. Zogby tends to overestimate Obama
They don't usually just get it wrong - they are wrong in one direction, and in the states where Obama has outperformed expectations, like South Carolina, they have been less wrong than other pollsters. I think they might use a more expansive turnout model, or define likely voters differently. SurveyUSA may take a more conservative definition of likely voters, which leads them to tilt toward Clinton in most cases.
