"OBAMA OSAMA HUMM ARE THEY BROTHERS?"
What a wonderful church of "God" this must be. :puke:

=====

A sign is causing heated arguments outside of a church in Jonesville.

Pastor Roger Byrd of Jonesville Church of God put the sign up which reads "Obama Osama humm are they brothers?"

Pastor Byrd says the sign is not meant to be racial or political but rather to make people think. "His name is so close to Osama I have a feeling he might be Islamic therefore he doesn't recognize Christ," Pastor Byrd said...

Eugunia Foster is offended by the church sign. "I'm embarrassed and hurt. I'm surprised a small town like Jonesville still has this separation. It is racial and hatred," Foster said.

Pastor Byrd told News Channel 7 he would ask his congregation to vote on whether to keep the sign. They voted unanimously to keep the sign up Sunday night.

Jonesville Church of God does not have any African American members.

33. Don't know about that. But I do know that devilled HAM was invented by Jesus Christ himself.
From the 8th chapter of Luke....

26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

Perhaps the deviled eggs came from possessed chickens?

3. They voted "unanimously"
Because you can't tell who is who exactly, when the entire congregation is wearing white sheets.

Here's a photo of the congregation.....

15. The DLC wants the party to kow tow and play patty cake with THESE PEOPLE
Al From wants us to better "connect" with them.

I say they need to be written off and fought root and branch.

The Republicans don't lose sleep over writing off entire segments of voters (blacks, liberals, gays, etc.). Why can't we do the same thing?

19. Sorry, but that sounds too much like Hillary's "Screw Them" philosophy...
Too many people feel ignored by the powers that be these days; almost every one of them a potential progressive, if only they can be convinced that those of the left of them aren't out to turn their kids gay, yank away their guns, and burn their bibles and flags. The more we ignore those people, the more we are defined by our enemies.

22. The "shepherds" may not be...
but the flock most likely is. You'd be surprised how far you can get with someone diametrically opposed to your point of view if you just have a couple beers and talk to them as an equal. Share your mutual concerns for the direction that this country's heading in, and you'll find that if you can rationally point out the reasons (and defend those reasons from the RW talking points) for your progressivism, then you stand a reasonable chance of making a convert.

29. I agree with Al From on that, to a point.
I agree that we need to connect with them. I don't think we need to appeal to their fear and ignorance, as I bet Al does... but I do think we need to connect with them in order to show them how their being suckered by these stupid games every time is enabling the powerful to continue to ignore the real issues that impact their lives.

17. Wow, this whole deal is idiotic on so many levels
I'm not even sure what to say....

For one, "humm" and the lack of a question mark at the end of a question on the sign pretty much prove we're dealing with some truly dim bulbs at this "church".... The dude even speaks like he's an idiot.

But apparently, he also feels being born with an "Islamic" name automatically makes someone a Muslim. That's even better. :eyes:

"Hillary"...sounds a lot like "Hell-ery" to me...and "Clin-TON"...well, I have a feeling with a name like that, she's really really overweight?

And if that isn't bad enough, her husband's name is "Bill"...you, know, BILL, like when you owe someone money. Nobody likes bills.
