I'm going to be heading out into the field in a little bit. I'm hearing rumors that the Clintons are robocalling Republicans that re-registered as Dems and telling them that Obama supports partial-birth abortion. I'm waiting on some more sourcing on that. Anyone care to look up Clinton's voting record on partial birth abortion

Seriously. Next she'll be telling them Obama has a black lovechild.

Oh, right...

1. lol
So it's the reverse of the NH primary where the Clinton campaign sent out mailers insinuating that Obama was less than pro-choice?

2. If that's true --
about the partial--birth abortion robocall, she's hit yet ANOTHER new low!

But...is it true?

3. I think both him and Clinton opposed the ban on partial birth abortion
Which is why its so crazy, for her to be using it against him.

9. Crazy,
which is why I'm questioning the authenticity of the charge. But it's telling that because of some of her campaign tactics thus far, I'm poised to believe it.

4. Good grief.
Bill Clinton vetoed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban because it did not provide an exception for the health of the mother, if I remember correctly.

I hope this isn't true because it is such a red herring. Late term abortions are very rare and only done if there are serious problems. No woman can just walk into a clinic at 9 months and get an abortion because she feels like it. :eyes:

5. This is what I mean - Clinton is EXCELLENT practice for Obama before the big dance...
... Thank goodness Clinton has turned to a republican campaign - Obama's will be much the stronger for it in the summer/fall.

7. The proper term is "late term abortion". The GOP concocted the most inflammatory rhetoric possible
Three points:

Obama was not in the Senate until after his election in 2004.

Clinton voted against this ban.

This was another forced issue by the GOP in the lead-up to Bush's illegal invasion of Iraq.

8. I'd wait for more substantial evidence before I took reports like this seriously.
