10. He played it safe, std stump speech bits mostly...

...not that his stump speech isn't good. Considering this was at 10pm and the crowd there was all fired up and in need of no convincing, though, he's probably best off not saying anything especially new. Less for the other team to seize upon and distort, that way, and given they are itching for any way to "hail mary" this any new verbiage could be twisted.

Clinton's speech was on before that and their campaign is obviously starting to feel the heat about the negative attacks. As a result, she stayed positive and though she's not a great speaker she did herself a favor by keeping it positive. (And McCain can go deficate in his Depends, cause Chelsea is hot :-) )

Most of the callers on the CSPAN lines after the BO speech were BO supporters. One guy called in on the republican line and was probably a limbot trying to do his master's bidding. A couple of the BO callers sounded like an organized effort, but given the rest of the callers they needn't have bothered. One, I forget maybe the limbot, brought up the old canard about BO being light on details... but having watched both speeches neither had much detail (because you don't do detail at big venue campaign stops.)

(And I mean seriously, most of the people who say that about BO probably are the types that would fall asleep reading his economic speech and then wake up after it's over still demanding details.)

BO should change that last line to "Win the primary... Win the general... Win the future" much as I hate singsong.
