In the first 100 days, what would you like to see President Barack Obama do?

There are couple of things I'd like to see happen.

1) Abolish ALL e-voting systems, go back to paper/lever balloting - make new rules on how to properly mandate voting - paper ballots, audits, etc. Make monies available for voter education.

2) Make Election Day a national holiday - everyone is off and free to vote anytime they wish.

3) Freeze all the war-profiteers assets until the investigations, indictments are handed down, use the frozen assets to return all monies to the US Treasury for domestic purposes.

4) Tax cuts for the middle retroactive to 2001. That will shock the economy, but when people have $$ to spend, then it'll kickstart the economy as well. Raise taxes for the uber-rich (1%) by a certain percentage.

5) Eliminate AMT, and figure out a new sliding-scale tax system for all classes.

6) COLA for SSI/SSDI needs to be increased by a much larger %, and retroactive since 2001. Chimp has been increasing it 2%.

7) Freeze all oil assets from all US-based oil companies, and think about nationalizing the oil companies and use their assets to lower the fuel, OR use the gas taxes to improve the infrastructure and mass transit - like Europe is doing right now.

8) Make headway to UHC - get something kickstarted.

9) Nationalize the airlines - what's the point of merging or seeing it go bankrupt if we can't get them to stop bleeding cash - Set aside some $, and unionize all airlines. Improve on Amtrak as an alternative mode of transportation - perhaps a bullet train if we can get some $$ flowing on upgrading our antiquated tracks, and have the states involved as well.

10) Usury is now banned. Credit companies will have to eat their costs and maximize interest rate at 9.99%, and bankruptcy laws are eased to help the struggling people start a clean slate.

I've always felt that making election day a holiday would cause people to go away for a long weekend and would actually lower the amount of voters. Why not just extend the hours of voting? You could also run a "good citizens vote" or "it's your responsibility to vote" campaigns, PSAs, and school programs.

FYI Amtrak does not use our own rails. We use the freight rail's lines at cost. If they were ours we'd get there on time just about every time.

And the tracks in the North-East Corridor and Western Corridor run the High Speed Rail Acela lines. They are DAMN fast but not bullet trains...hardly antiquated! Now the rest of the country? Yeah...some serious antiquation going on there.

Cancel the Ares 1 and Ares V program pending a review of the Grassroots program "DIRECT" Start an investigation on why the rockets were not declared bad long ago and if connections to industry were involved. This involves the firing of Administrator Michael Griffin and possible Investigation of his involvement with slowing acceptance of the DIRECT idea.

Reversal of any executive orders slowing the release of .gov info that can be used by the people to find evidence against the crooks in the past administrations.

Ordering massive funding put forward into the US NAVY Railgun and Fusion systems so that these systems can come online as soon as possible.

Asking Congress to pass a law declaring ALL E-Voting machines against the law to use.

Starting a program for the citizens to design a hacker proof powerless and clear voting machine that can be manufactured for 100-500 dollars a machine. Priority on standardization and ability for people to easily see their vote being punched and stored. A charge system by turning a handle slowly can replace the electrical system.
