Equal Pay Day: Calculate Your Wage Gap

DID YOU KNOW…

• In 2007, on average, women earn $.77
for every $1.00 earned by men?
• It’s even worse for women of color.
African American women earn $.68 to
the dollar while Latinas earn on average
$.57?
• According to the U.S. Department of
Labor Statistics, women are paid less in
every occupational classification?
• Since the Equal Pay passage in 1963,
the wage gap for women has only
narrowed by less than half a cent per
year?

EQUAL PAY HELPS WORKING FAMILIES

Looks like I'm earning about $15,000 a year less than a man doing the same job.

2. I'm 53
I'm earning $27,115 less than my male counterparts each year.

Oops I goofed on my first measure.

I earn $15,160 less than men in my state. (on the left side)

3. What, no statistics on how much less black and Latino men earn than white men?
The wage gap isn't only by gender. (Fact: black and Hispanic men earn less than white women, and Hispanic men earn less than black women.)
