Clinton on Pennsylvania: 'I have to win'
PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton on Tuesday acknowledged her White House bid is on the line in Pennsylvania, as primary voters headed to the polls.

"Well, I have to win," Clinton told ABC. "I believe that's my task. And I'm going to do everything I can to win.

snip

If Clinton is victorious, it would allow her to pick up a majority of the 158 delegates at stake in Pennsylvania make a small dent in Obama's lead, and more.

"If she wins Pennsylvania by a hefty margin, she can prove she can win the traditional Democratic constituencies needed to win the election, mostly white working-class voters," said Gloria Borger, a CNN senior political analyst.

Could a double-digit victory make the senator from New York the comeback kid once again?

"If Clinton wins by more than 10 points, which was her margin in neighboring Ohio and New Jersey, her campaign will have new momentum and she will soldier on," said Bill Schneider, also a CNN senior political analyst. Watch how the polls show Clinton leading »

"If Clinton wins by single digits, we're in a political twilight zone. Nothing changes."

1. This statement is ridiculous:
"'If she wins Pennsylvania by a hefty margin, she can prove she can win the traditional Democratic constituencies needed to win the election, mostly white working-class voters,' said Gloria Borger, a CNN senior political analyst."

A win proves nothing of the kind. It's a primary. There's no way to compare wins in a primary to wins in the GE. This is complete and utter spin.

4. I think that was the premise all along..

that if she wins by 20+ she proves that she can come close the the "popular vote" lead of Obama. I think they are hoping to include Michigan and Florida in the "popular" vote count, and thereby make a case for her viability. I don't think delegates matter anymore. I think the end game is all about the Convention. At any cost.

6. It Is BizarreO World for the Pundits!
Hillary's statement worries me though, remember 2004 when Bush summoned the media to proclaim his "WIN", with the family behind him on the couch and Jenna wagging that weird green shoe?

This hit me the exact same way, as if she knows the "FIX" is in and she can't help but be a bit giddy about it.

5. and they are still pimping that..
she did win. I am surprised that no one calls them on this shit. It seems that they and they alone can determine the 'rules' whenever it suits them.

8. The goalposts are now apparently in NC and not in PA by 20+ points...
...who knows...maybe they'll end up in Guam...you know the age-old saying, "As goes Guam, so goes the nation"....

9. "And I'm going to do everything I can to win." -- This is exactly what
Obama has been saying for months and getting criticized for.
