Awesome: Bush "Pioneer" converts -- to Obama
Wow, this speaks volumes.....

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/politics/Obama_HQ_Setting_up_for_results.html">Former Bush "pioneer" wants to be "on the right side of history"

There's lots of traffic but not a lot of campaign signage on the way to Obama's party headquarters for tonight at the Water Works restaurant.

TV newscasters were doing there thing as the giant stage behind them is still being built.

For now, all is quiet - but restaurant owner Michael Karloutsos is ready for all that to change.

He got the call at 7 a.m. Monday that Obama staff were looking for a space for 600 for an "informal party." Well, that party is expected to grow to 1,500 here tonight.

Interesting side note: Karloutsos is the only Philadelphia resident who was a Bush Pioneer in 2004, meaning he raised $200,000 for the President. But last summer, he caught the Obama Bug. Seated on the restaurant veranda, with the sun reflecting off the river behind him and Boathouse Row in the distance, he said: "This time around, I was really attracted to the Obama message, and I wanted to be on the right side of history." His first order of business: switching his registration from R to D.

3. Let's hope more Republicans have a guilt trip too.
I can see rank and file deserting him from the moderate side of the GOP, but when the Pioneers start leaving, things are pretty bad.

10. Clearly, he wants to be on the winning side.
Perhaps he actually delved into the issues with the reporter, but this guy sounds like a bit of an opportunist.

14. The Obama Bug, LOL
I still stand by what I said. Huge donors don't just 'catch a bug' for a candidate. They know things.
