Home from working the polls - here are the results
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 08:12 PM by livetohike
There are 226 registered voters in our precinct. 122 R/ 79 D and 25 I. (It's a closed primary).

Democratic voters = 43

Republican voters = 54

Clinton - 22
Obama - 21

I'm tired. I think it was a good showing for Obama vs. Clinton. This is a rural precinct. I heard some talk about the flag pin stuff from Republicans who thought it was ridiculous. The Republicans are not happy with McCain as their candidate, either.

Just a little info from my piece of Pennsylvania :-).

Edited for repetition.

7. That was amazing to me
I don't know why we didn't have a 100% turnout from the Dem. side, but it amazed me how close the vote was.

Our results just got down to the county office probably this minute.

9. I thought it was good too
It's the first time I worked the polls here. (Just moved in last May). The long time workers said it was a good turnout for a primary.

19. I hope so too - Obama kept it close here
and our Judge of Elections probably just got the results to our county seat (20 Miles away).

16. thanks for the information AND for working the polls today!
Since you say the Republicans weren't happy with McCain, how do you think they voted? In this rural area of Arkansas, they were all for Ron Paul. Did he get a lot of votes from them, too?

22. I should have posted the Republican results
Here they are:

McCain 37
Ron Paul 6
Huckabee 6

I just realized that 5 people did not pick a Repub. candidate!
