So, the final results of PA, then:
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 08:28 PM by Occam Bandage
1. Hillary blew a 20-point lead and failed to make a statistically-significant dent in Obama's lead.
2. Obama successful bled Hillary dry of her entire cash reservoir.
3. Hillary has no firewalls left.

Sounds good to me.

12. I'd argue that she did. With a 20-point win, she could make a decent argument
about her chances going forward. She could say, look, Obama's peaked, and if I keep winning blowouts like this then I'm the nominee.

With a slim single-digit lead, her claim to "the momentum" is tarnished, and she certainly can't claim that she's made progress towards winning the nomination. She has to win a higher percentage of all delegates going forward than she did yesterday.

21. She'll call it a win and that's all that matters.
But we know that it's not all that matters, it's the delegate count. Tonight is an OK night for her after its all said and done. It's always good to win, but what does this win mean for her? Answer...not much. She's still not going to win the nom.

She called Texas a win, too, despite Texas taking her further from the nomination.
PA, too, took her further from the nomination.

30. When was her lead 20%? November?
I don't know anyone whose judgment I trust that believed she's win by anywhere near that margin after the primaries and caucuses began....

Nevertheless, she's cash strapped- hough it remains to be seen how Obama can capitalize on that Indiana.

39. Yes..if Hill had money, let's say she wasn't in the hole financially,
I am positive that she would not spend one penny more than her opponent. Now to the question of bad campaign finances and how that reflects on her ability to manage funds. It is good that you brought up campaign finances this evening.

41. Yes, let the reality sink in to her supporters in the next week. Nothing's changed.
She is still the loser. I would admit it readily if it were Obama. But it's not.

HRC has lost. PA is her territory. If all she can pull is a weak 8% margin, that's not saying much. She has lost pledged delegates, popular votes, and now this loss of a sort in PA.

She desperately clings to the Florida-Michigan thing, as if a race was ever run there (which wasn't, of course). That is her backup. But it won't work. The voters will not allow the superdelegates to take away Obama's winning status and give it to the loser.
