Adressing the Outspent argument.
I've heard this "he outspent her" line on the TV something like 20 times in the half hour since I got home. I have already seen it what seems like a hundred plus times here on DU. And I find it a little odd.

It particularly bothers me to see people saying he outspent her 3,4,5 to one.

He outspent her. That is a fact. From the FEC reports, she paid out 22.7 Million, plus added 1.6 million to her debt load, so her total expendature is 24.3 million for march.

Obama paid out 30.6 Million with essentialy no change in debt load.

By the math he spent 25% more than she did. Wooo, he just drown her in spending didn't he.

Where the crap does this 3 times, 4 times crap come from?

2. Hillary outspent her own bank account
in the master psyche of the primary season.
Lets see if she can ante up for the next round.
Too funny.

6. Penn
will probably help a bit. I doubt much, unless the republicans are desperate enough to face her to throw their own money to her. That said, she has the money to loan herself to keep going.

4. amazing, isn't it?
bottom line. no matter how much obama spent, pennsylvania is hillary's state -- just like many states are obama's.

5. But the numbers show
he didn't really outspend her by all that large a margin. Perhaps he should have. But yeah, her out of the gate advantage appears to have been too much to fully overcome.

7. I had to turn it off
The Clinton spin machine was going full bore on MSNBC. Every guest had the same annoying talking points.

8. same here
I still would love to have someone who supports this "he massively outspent her" argument address my math. Perhaps there is something I left out? all I did was look at the FEC filings for march.

15. Based on what?
FEC filings say he spent 31 mil, she spent 24. Where do you get the 12/4 from?

12. The problem is you don't have the April report, and today is April 22nd
I'm not saying that the disparity is any different, just pointing out that the majority of their budgets would have gone to the last two weeks. Not sure what those numbers would look like, but I'd imagine Obama spent a great deal more? Like twice? Who knows.

But 3 or 4 times as much? It seems unlikely.

18. She blows 20-point leads in almost every state
can't seem to keep her leads. That's not what we need in a nominee.

19. Its true
I had hoped for more from tonight, but it is good enough. It raises her minimum % needed in future races by a little, and lowers his a little. Ending it tonight would have been nice, but such is life.
