... I've deleted all the robo-call messages from my answering machine (from both Barack and Hillary campaigns).

It has been a loooong day and a loooooong six weeks! Good turnout for a primary, but not the out-the-door lines of Democrats I was expecting. :(

A lot of people didn't know about any of the local/state races -- just Obama/Clinton (they didn't even know there were presidential delegates to vote for). I did a LOT of explaining outside the polls today.

Heard so many snotty comments about BOTH Dem candidates today (from Repugs at the polls ... they just love to come over to our Dem table and trash our candidates ... but I was very gracious to them, to prove we Dems DO take the high road.)

I am going to soak my feet and sleep for 11 hours!

Praise the Lord, it's over!

I've done both (paid pollworker and volunteer greeter/pollwatcher) -- and working inside and explaining the voting machines, the closed primary, etc. etc. all day long as a paid pollworker -- PLUS, fighting with people who aren't registered and swear they are ... "The guy who registered me to vote outside Wal-Mart said I was registered Republican!" ... well, that's just a helluva lot harder. I was always way more tired after being an inspector than I have been as a greeter.

So ... THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK!
