Hillary won this battle , but Obama is winning the war
He shaved a 20% disadvantage to single digits , in a state that was hers to lose.

There is no way now she can overcome his pledged delegate lead.

So , why are Hillary supporters celebrating ? Tonights results is not good news for their candidate.

7. The Art of War- you need not fear a hundred battles
"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not
fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but
not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a
defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will
succumb in every battle."

8. Clinton was polling +27%, +28%, and +33% in early November.
She dropped like a turd in the outhouse.

9. It was a lost opportunity for her. She needed a victory of 20+ pts, she'll get maybe half that
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 01:15 AM by kenny blankenship
At 20 or more points she could claim that if she replicated that success in the other remaining states--all of them mind--she could pull even with Obama in delegates. 20+ pts were needed in PA just to continue this travesty with a straight face.

But winning by only 9 or 10 pts. it just makes the hill (ahem) steeper. Now she needs 30+ pt blowout wins everywhere. Obviously there's no chance. She has to pray for an assassin or a meteorite to take Obama out.

Pennsylvania was her one big opportunity to make up a lot of ground on Obama and win in such a convincing way that she could claim that there was a whole new ball game. Maybe she wouldn't win the delegate race outright but she could make Obama appear unelectable.

She failed to realize that opportunity--went deep into debt-- and now there won't be another big chance. She's finished.

14. Obama actually GAINED ground in the war tonight.
Hillary now has to win a higher percentage of the remaining delegates than was the case yesterday. She may have technically won this battle, but she lost ground in the overall war.

15. Hey, let them enjoy their night!
Hillary turned in a solid victory.

Of course, Obama also did extremely well even though the odds were stacked heavily against him. And yes, he is winning the war. I'm looking forward to a gracious concession speech from his opponent after the May 6th results.
