Anyone know why their web sites show a 10 point win 55-44? It is at BEST 54-46?

One point matters!

15. Maybe they want a Repub and Hillary is their preference to run against.
That's been obvious with Buchanan and Scarborough on MSNBC. They just love Hillary.

7. The official state site is WRONG - this is from Kos ....
Update: Okay, as pointed out in the comments, the AP's numbers jibe with the county's own numbers. So it looks like the PA DoS screwed up. That puts us at:

Clinton: 54.69
Obama: 45.31

That's a difference of 9.38 percent which, if you're going to round, would round down to 9 percent, not 10 percent. That is, unless we decide we're averse to odd number splits.

3. Fuzzy math. They round up. Waaaay up.
Saying she won by 10 makes it easier for them to pretend she's viable.

And they never let facts get in the way of the billshit they peddle.

4. Regardless, it is 10 delegates. That is all, a net of 10 for Hillary.
She is now 130 behind Obama, with no more "big state" strongholds left.

8. CNN: "about 10 percentage points"
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 07:09 AM by godai
They apparently have decided to round up the 8.5% to 10%. Knowing this they say 'about 10%' to show how 'accurate' they are being. It's like the Clinton campaign is writing the headlines and feeding the talking points to the MSM. They've probably also heard from the Obama campaign and justify their spin with the word 'about'. ABC just says 10% (no surprise there) and CBS lists 55/45 (not correct unless you round off the actual numbers).

I often wonder who decides how news is spun. How does the entire MSM 'get the word' as to the latest talking points? It will be interesting to see how KO breaks through this nonsense tonight. He had his arms folded against his chest last night as Tweety was spinning loudly and wildly for Clinton last night.

12. SEE ABOVE- KOS SAYS THE STATE SITE IS WRONG ...
C'mon people, how many times do we have to go over this? There's a county that the state site has incorrect results for- the county's numbers match the AP's numbers but not the official state site.

13. The same reason they keep
reporting Hillary won Texas.

They aren't in the business of reporting facts. They are in the business of promoting the agenda of the Corporations that own them.

They want Hillary to be the Democratic nominee.

14. It's under 9 points, and YES, they are purposefully misrepresenting to give her double digits
That's really all you need to know about MSM to know they are misrepresenting the outcome to further their agenda.

She's dedicated to hobbling Obama in the general, so she can run again in 2012, and msm is dedicated to helping her do it.

16. Craven intentional error, since "double digits" has been their mantra
Given the fact that the MSM has been making such a big deal about the Double Digits, there's no doubt they paid close attention to this, and intentional rounded inaccurately.

20. I think that there is also some truth in
Chuck Todd saying that if Clinton wins the nomination, then (despite this being a huge year for the Democrats) McCain gets to run more as the "change" candidate, where as if Obama gets the nomination, he has to be the conservative. Obviously, the MSM is going to be for McCain in the Fall, and not just because of corporations, etc. McCain gives the press so much access to him, that they get protective of it. Hillary Clinton traditionally does not have a good relationship with the press (I remember Tucker Carlson saying "They call people up and threaten them! Are we supposed to be surprised that they get bad press!" I know it's Tucker, but it is worth mentioning.) Likewise, Obama does not give the media as much access as McCain does. So WHAT THE FUCK is the point of getting all of that good old McCain access if you can't do any real reporting? They want to keep those relationships in tact I guess.

21. rounding
First, as pointed out, the state's numbers are different than CNN and apparently CNN's are correct.

Second, its nine percent if you don't round the individual totals but round the difference.

On the other hand, if you round the individual numbers, its 55/45.

I have to say, as an Obama supporter, a lot of the posts on this thread sound very whiny.

Pennsylvania is done. On to NC and Indiana. Stop wallowing and whining.

22. It doesn't matter. The net delegates are the key
and despite the hoopla and spin, the results bring the end game closer which is that the Clinton path to pledged delegates is further away. The way they will try to win is bullying as it always has been since they realized they are in a fight.
