Why did Hillary do EVEN WORSE with African American voters in Pennsylvania than in Ohio?
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 07:57 AM by beachmom
Hillary had a dismal performance yesterday with the African American vote: only 8%. Why is that? Why didn't she do better with at least African American women?

I guess I see things differently than other folks on this board. I see her support eroding, and it is because of her negative and nasty campaign. The answer to my question is quite clear: her concerted campaign of trashing Obama's church and minister had consequences. Frankly, it wasn't in the white vote where Obama got a respectable 40% (given the demographics in the state favorable to Clinton). The consequences were in the black vote, where I think she could have done better, had she run an honorable campaign on her experience and familiarity with the populace. African Americans I talked to always liked the Clintons, especially her as First Lady. And frankly, they really want to like the Clintons now, but are troubled by her negative campaign. Bill and Hillary need to fix this. And that starts with leaving Wright and the Trinity Church alone.

1. She did worse with almost every group
If it weren't for PA's very odd demographics she wouldn't have stood a chance.

2. Is leaving Wright and the Trinity Church alone an option for her?
I don't think so. And a reminder: Rev. Wright will be interviewed by Bill Moyers Friday. I hope this will be advertised far and wide.

3. If it is not an option for her, then she should concede the election now.
And to be clear to people in unreality, Hillary CANNOT win PA in the G.E. without the AA vote. That is why JK prevailed in PA in '04.

5. I'm assuming the kitchen sink plan is still in play; she won't leave
Wright alone, and she apparently doesn't care to look down the road. It's all about her ambitions, not the big picture. At least from my POV.

4. because they don't matter.
nor do college educated men, nor do the youth, nor do college kids.

In fact, no one matters unless they bow to the feet of Queen Hillary.
