* * * * * * * * * * OBAMA'S STRATEGY * * * * * * * * * *
Senator Obama is presently re-evaluating his strategy after the hard-fought PA primary. He is being pulled in two different directions. Should he go after Hillary with stronger negative attacks or should he take the high road? Judging from his speech last night in Indiana, he may choose the latter course?

Many of his supporters believe he fell into a trap by playing Hillary's game in the last few weeks. It did not help him. He needs to get back on the same track as when he won the 11 races in a row a few weeks ago. Personal attack politics is not his game.

The NY Times accused Hillary of taking the low road to victory in today's editorial. Also, polls are showing that most people believe Hillary is more responsible for the "negative" tone of the race, although they did not spare Obama from blame. Unfortunately, this is the only way that Hillary can win.

She will continue to attack Obama and his "lack of qualifications" instead of talking about the issues. Obama must fight the urge to follow her down that road. He must remain above this type of politics and remind folks that "there she goes again" when these types of attacks occur.

Obama will mostly ignore Hillary from here forward and will attack John McCain and the Republicans more often. He will act as if he is already the nominee. He will not go tit-for-tat with Hillary as he has done in the last few weeks. Hillary will become more irrelevant for the Obama campaign. He will focus more on the general election.

1. I assume you're just opining, and don't have any super-secret information sources.

3. It's public information...
I'm just putting it in a readable form. It's not super-secret. Remember you heard it here first.

2. The high road is the best road.
I think ignoring Hillary and focusing on McCain will show the SD's the next President of the U.S.

Peace.

4. The best thing to do when you have a stalker is to avoid all contact with them.
I hope he does that.

5. Don't get into the mud with pigs, if you aren't one.
Obama should ignore Hillary's bs. She is irrelevant. Eventually, the media, her supporters and even she will realize that.

Obama should focus like a laser beam on the deplorable Bush-McCain policies and why it's time to bring sanity back to the Oval office.

9. I agree...
Barack should continually remind the world that Hillary would "obliterate" Iran if need be. Why is this woman still relevant? This should be the final nail in the coffin, but once again the media is sweeping her shit under the big rug.

are in all the newspapers overseas. It is a big story. Here, barely a whisper...

6. Obama Shifting Focus From Clinton to McCain
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/23/us/politics/23obama.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin

You're right, kentuck, though I haven't found the NYT's piece yet.

I have listened to the talking heads. They're claiming Obama needs to 'prove' his patriotism :eyes: by talking about the flag pin, loosening up his tie, get down with the people, hallelujah! My mind is bending; do all those people at all those rallies think he's unpatriotic and somehow doesn't connect? Just ugh. I'm about to be 'puter/newsless for 4 days, and I can't hardly wait!

7. Naaaah
The game has not changed. Hillary was 16 points ahead. And with all she threw at Obama, he still gained ground. Hillary won by about 9 points, far from the blow-out she needed.

It's time for Hillary and Obama to make a deal that suits both of them.

8. FL is the present hole card for Hillary...
If she could have doubled her popular vote in PA, she would have brought out the hole card. Because if she does not have the popular or the delegate vote, she is only tilting at windmills. If she could pull an upset in NC and gain more in the popular vote there, she would still have a chance to play the FL hole card. However, Obama prevented that card from being played in PA by cutting her lead in half. Why can't he put it away? Perhaps he did?
