9.2% Rounds Down to 9%--It Doesn't Round Up to 10%--WSJ Said Double-Digits Needed
OK 9.2% doesn't magically "round up" to 10%. It rounds down to 9%. So Hillary got 9%. But the Wall Street Journal said clearly that Hillary needed "double-digit" gains to "hold off Obama":

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/18/wsj-clinton-needs-double_n_97388.html

The numeral 9 appears to have only one digit. Unless Hillary's campaign intends to repeal the laws of mathematics.

1. 10% Threshold
I think we need to concentrate on the original language, in which crossing a 10% threshold was necessary for Clinton to justify her campaign. That means exceeding 10%, not coming close.

3. WSJ: "Anything less than a double-digit victory..."
"Anything less than a double-digit victory could solidify the perception that Illinois Sen. Barack Obama is the inevitable Democratic nominee, sparking a flow of superdelegates to his side."

12. I'm doing no such thing
Clinton didn't get what she needed last night, unless by a double digit victory she meant 9.4--that's two digits. My point was that rounding cannot make up for lack of performance. Ten yards to go but stopped inches from the endzone, IMO.

6. She needed 30% margins in every remaining state to remain mildly competitive
She couldn't even pull off at 10 point win in a state she was supposed to win by 20% with the entire machine behind her. PA was a massive failure for her campaign. She got creamed.

I really don't understand why everyone is freaking out today. Obama is still the nominee, and is in an even stronger position today.

8. Yes I Noticed That in MSNBC's Primary Map, Texas is Still Dark Blue...
Indicating that MSNBC still treats Texas as a Hillary win even though the facts say differently. It is as if it has been "grandfathered" in.

10. It's a Clintonized 10%. And Hillary supporters need to note this when they are whining about how the
media is unfair to Hillary.

15. Andrea Mitchell (GOP shill): "Solid 10-point win in Pennsylvania."
I don't know why it's not obvious even to the most clueless shillbot that the GOP/corporatists are in full spin mode (a la pre-Iraq war). When the ARITHMETIC makes the LIE plain for all to see, the utter STUPIDITY of folks who swallow these overt lies is beyond appaling.

Do the delegate math ... Clinton's "big win" netted her 10-12 more delegates than Obama in Pennsylvania. It's about the delegates, stupid! Hillary just DOESN'T have them. Period.

17. As opposed to a "weak" 10 point win? LOL. It really is about the delegates, which will
become all too clear to even the MSM about May 20th when Obama captures the majority of the pledged delegates.
