Obama played "rope a dope" with Hillary Clinton
In a campaign that saw Hillary liken herself to fictional boxer Rocky Balboa, the irony is that her campaign will be ultimately felled by the cunning strategy of a real-life pugilistic star. Like the great Muhammad Ali, Obama learned the value of "rope a dope."

Force your opponent to expend energy (and in this case, vast sums of money) while not being able to deliver any real damage.

Then you emerge fresh and hardly bruised and mop the floor with them.

The mopping up comes over the next two weeks. Broke and exhausted, Hillary will stumble her way into sure losses in N Carolina and Indiana.

By forcing Hillary to drain her bank dry in a state that should have been a sure-thing for Hillary, Obama played "rope a dope" and may have lost the battle, but will win the war.

Floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Yep, it still works.

1. I support Obama 100%- but can we stay away from Kerry/2004 -era talking points?
"Rope a dope", "Giving themselves rope to hang themselves with", "judo", "let them fall on their own swords" "they dont poll people with cell phones" etc,etc...

I'm with you but for luck's sake, I'd say we stay away from that old language... ;)

When I start hearing the same language used in a lost battle, I get nervous.

I'm not saying it is what you are doing, I'm just saying lets not replace reality with comforting talkiing points like we DEMS always do.

"Keep your powder dry" is another one I cant stand...

3. Not only that 320,000 new registered voters with most of the cross over going to him is a good thing
War with Iran is inevitable if the Rev Wright adds don't work on Obamas turn outs etc in NC. Patreaus already replaced Fallon
