Obama is inevitable. He now needs to ignore Hillary and focus on McCain.

Obama's win over Hillary will take some time, but it is inevitable. There is now sufficient momentum in delegate count to get him across the goal line, likely by June 1st.

At this point he should decisively begin ignoring Hillary and switch his focus to McCain. Here's why:

1. Obama gains nothing by sniping with Hillary. He has run a campaign of "new style" politics, while Hillary plays old style. This has begun to resonate with voters, and will be reinforced if Obama refuses to play the old style game of petty politics. Responding to Hillary's attacks is allowing her to control the news cycle. He needs to break this.

2. Obama gains by taking on McCain. His biggest risk now is not losing to Hillary, but losing to McCain. He needs to start defining McCain and establish in GE voters' minds the clear differences between him and McCain. He will begin to appear as the de facto Democratic nominee, which will only hasten Super Delegates to get behind him.

His daily message should consist of one focused definition of McCain and the different approach he would bring. Any attacks from Hillary can be waved off with "that's more old-style Washington politics that's not helping solve the real problems that American's have".

7. Hillary won Pennsylvania by too small a margin to make any difference

It was her last chance to really gain on him, and she failed to do this.

She cannot make up the delegate gap with the remaining states, and she will go into the convention with fewer delegates than Obama.

1. Closed a 20 percentage point gap to less than 10. That's a win for Obama.

2. Hillary now needs even HIGHER percentages in the remaining states, in order to catch Obama, than she did before yesterday's primary. That's a win for Obama.

3. More PA voters who were registered Democrat as of March 24, voted for Hillary yesterday than Obama. That's a "win" for Hillary but is irrelevant in practical terms, noting point 2. Also note that many of her "newly minted Dems" will very soon be registered as Republicans again, just as they were a few months ago. I know because some of them told me so.

Obama's eventual win by delegate count is inevitable. It's time for him to have faith in that and begin behaving like the nominee.
