Why have the Republican pundits suddenly fallen in love with Hillary?
Ann Coulter and Pat Buchanan for Hillary!?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xPsfML1BG8

Joe Scarborough for Hillary!?

http://wonkette.com/377347/joe-scarborough--hillary-clinton-like+like-each-other

I mean don't get me wrong, congratulations to Hillary on her PA victory, and I am an Obama supporter.

Let me ask you Hillary supporters though, don't you find this the slightest bit disturbing that the most vile of Republican pundits are suddenly fawning over your candidate?

2. Of course, they will turn on her as soon as she's our nominee.
You'd have to be an idiot to not believe that.

18. You got that right!
They want her so bad to be the nominee, and "IF" she were to get it, they would love it even more while they tear her apart! There is so much stuff out there about her that is being ignored by the media, for now that is, and they all know it. If she ran against McCain they would bring it all out and it would rally the base like nothing else.

21. So she's a patsy being used by republicans - lol - that should upset Clinton supporters...
... But it doesn't. As long as they ensure the Democratic nominee doesn't win, they'll let anyone use them.

34. You could see it in the beginning...
I back when I was for Hillary I was so angry as I watched them all attack hillary then I began to notice a change once Obama started to win. The first one who seem to notice was Pat Buchanan the racist, he began to harp on it and I could see the fear and terror in Scarborough and some of the other right wing nuts faces.

They then began to find away to attack Obama then Insanity and O'lielly began fighting over who would get the credit for bringing out the Rev Wright tapes and then it was on from there. Hillary met with Mellon Scaife,Bill and Hill started praising McCain and saying that Obama was nothing and McCain was superior, she began to say that as far as she knew he wasn't a Muslim knowing that he wasn't then they began to lie, lie, lie and then before and after the last debate she started throwing everything at him and for good measure she threw in Farrakhan.

Before the last debate I said that I would still vote for her if she was the nominee but now never,never,never,ever...

8. It's a tactical move. If Obama was in the same position, they would support him.
Unfortunately, the Hillary supporters are just loving these guys.

If only they could see how much the conservatives are laughing at them. They don't like Hillary. They don't like you. They hate you, honestly.

The sad thing is that a year from now, they still won't see it.

want her to win. It will bring out the Republican base who still hate the Clintons. After all these years, they are still out there, waiting for their chance.

Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 01:41 PM by Kurovski
The polls would show a much higher margin if Obama were the candidate, and it would be harder to explain away electronic election fraud.

Clinton's negatives are at what? 55%? That's a landslide of disapproval right there.

and believes in the DLC bend over to the GOP policies like Corporate Deregulation and Trade deals.

In other words, she's one of them and she's beatable. A Perfect combo for the GOP.

22. You know things are whack when Hannity is now shilling for Hillary
Ay, it's not a coincidence. Bill Bennett, Glen Beck, Rush, Hannity, Laura Ingraham, all cheering Hillary on. And the funny this is, they talk about Hillary like she's a tool they can use to attack the Democratic party. A useful tool for them.

Right-wing has been hannitized for Clinton.

23. they want Hillary to be the nominee
so that when either Clinton or McCain win, they'll have a right winger in the White House. As an added bonus, if Hillary DID win, they would have a whole 8 years to tear her to shreds on a daily basis.

24. Coulter is trash
An automatic click and I wouldn't read a syllable. David Brock described her very well in his books.

Buchanon and Scarborough are valuable from applied perspective, how the other side thinks and will vote. I don't care who they support but the occasional nuggets of analysis, things I wouldn't have thought of, are interesting.

Here, I'll give out another one: Bill Bennett the despicable lard said last night the GOP is worried about Hillary, due to 0-7 record against the Clintons. He exaggerated the bottom line but I'm convinced there's basic truth to it, based on speaking to right wing friends. They despise the Clintons because they've never beaten them.

If Hillary were the nominee, absolutely they'd expect to lose again -- somehow, some way.

Plenty of boxing threads around here lately, for whatever reason. Styles make fights. Hillary as more centrist is better positioned to win the critical swing states.

25. Excellent point, and there are several reasons...

1.) The Clintons are easier to beat in the GE due to their baggage.
2.) McCain can only benefit when the Democratic candidates attack each other.
3.) McCain's ratings remain higher than either Democrat when there are 2 Dem candidates.
4.) Less attention is focused on attacking McCain.
5.) The cable and broadcast MSM gets higher ratings when the race is perceived as being close in each of the remaining primaries.
6.) Dems must continue to raise money for their campaigns which also benefits the MSM with advertising revenue.

26. Many Republican mouthpieces have openly
expressed their intent to spoil the Democratic race by propping up the weaker candidate and dragging out this race on as long as possible. They've been gleefully talking about it for months. It's old news and I thought it was common knowledge. It's pretty obvious and they're certainly not trying to hide what their doing.

31. she's the one they want to run against in the GE
Nothing unites repukes like a Clinton. They want her to get the nom because they know McCain will beat her. Their true selves will emerge again.

Her experience mantra will fade against his since he has more and his is his own, not derived from his spouse. Plus he's ready to be president, she even said so. And they will use her very words, in a voice-over ad, AGAINST her.

Payback is b----

32. Two reasons....
First, they absolutely love the bloodbath this primary has become... we're killing each other out there and all they'll have to do come November is the mopping up. Plus I think they are having the time of their lives watching us humiliate ourselves and each other (thank you very much Hill:eyes:)

Second, she is soooo much more beatable. I don't think most Dems have a clue about how thoroughly Hillary is despised, especially among conservative circles. I think they are practically salivating at the opportunity to have her as the opponent, especially now after this primary- she has given them a veritable wealth of new ammo over the last few months... sigh...

Plus I think they are scared to death of Obama... so I guess that's really three reasons...
