First Rant: I am SO proud that MY Party has the first Woman and the First African American

I don't post too often in Gd-P, I mostly reply, but I know one thing..I'm proud of our party. I'm PROUD of making HISTORY. Did some of us forget along the way that that's exactly what's happening? Our kids and grandkids will READ about this in the American History Books! Take Pride. WE are making it...Not Rush and Spammity..US! A WOMAN! AN AFRICAN AMERICAN!!! History is HERE folks..and I for one relish in knowing that it is happening in MY party, OUR party...not BUSH's or MCCAIN'S...WE OWN 2008. I wanna own the next four years after that as well....

WE are the party of change and progression, the party of Women with voices, and People of Color, representing all of our children and grandchildren. FUCK YOU Repukes..because You can't say this, you wont be able to say this, stupid repukes that can't fight fair..Republican dumb asses! You wanna scream reverse racism? YOU MAKE ME SICK. I can't know what it is to be black or brown anymore than a man can know what it is to give birth. SO STFU! Fools with pretend agendas and whineries...

As an agnostic, give me Wright over Catholic-hating Hagee ANYDAY of the week. And what about My fellow Americans in New Orleans? Screw the fat tub of lard that talked shit about my neighbors! Note to Hagee...God doesn't love YOU anymore than my next door neighbors in New Orleans...ya fat FUCK.

We are women and men, we are black white brown and beautiful shades between and beyond, we are diverse in our thinking, we are religiously DIFFERENT,and beautifully diverse...We ARE the DEMOCRATIC PARTY..and we are proud of it. I sure am. I could NEVER be..a Republican.

But it's my rant after toooooo many years of stupid Republican domination. As a Texan, I guess it's just hit home that much harder. Redstaters understand this one.
Bluestaters..consider yourselves blessed! and THANK YOU! you help us keep our sanity in the world of *...ya'll give us hope that not everyone thinks the way our crazy neighbors do...

7. I was an Edwards supporter, but when he withdrew the great part
was that for the first time in my life, I knew I would get to vote for a black man or a woman for president of my country. And when I told my 20 year old daughter how I felt,I got tears in my eyes. What a wonderful party.

Thanks for your post.

9. History repeats
We were the first party to have a woman as vice-presidential candidate. And much was made of that at the time, "historic" and all that.

We need to do better than pat ourselves on the back for our "diversity". Maybe this time we should actually win.

:hi:

10. To be perfectly accurate
You should have said that they were the first woman and the first African American to run in one of the parties approved by the corporatocracy and the corporate media. Other women and other African American have run -- just not in the official corporation-controlled parties.
