1. No, it was a really stupid thing for him to say.
I cringed when I heard it. He's run a great campaign but the one thing they have not done a good job of is managing expectations.

I don't think he meant that it was the tie breaker as in whoever loses should drop out though. I think he meant that it was the tiebreaker in these three contests.

But I am curious, if you agree with Obama, does that mean you think Clinton should drop out if she loses Indiana?

2. No. To be a tiebraker they would have to actually be tied. He's way ahead.

30. He's "way ahead" based on a single caucus which disenfranchised minority voters and
two entire state primaries which has no interest in seating. Is this what Democracy looks like?

I say as long as there are enough potential delegates out there to change the balance they should keep going.

Obama has won the most states, the most delegates and has the popular vote...I do not see any reason to lose hope in Obama.

If it would be better to be shipped off to gitmo, or to one of Obama's "ex-gay rehabilitation camps," complete with gas chambers (for those who refuse to comply) and 24/7 Donnie Mcclurkin music (*shudder*- I'll take the gas chambers please).

20. I'm planning to dart across the Canadian border
when Queen Hill the terrible, dissolves all civil rights for progressives and hangs the horribly tortured liberal, progressives, blacks and all citizens from states that voted against her from city lamp posts in Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle and D.C. I hear she's going to order castration for all males who have cheated on their wives, starting with Bill.

Edited on Fri Apr-25-08 11:53 PM by Walter Sobchak
Maybe you'll learn that once you get to junior year.

Obama said it was a tiebreaker between Pennsylvania and North Carolina. There's no need for a tiebreaker in the primary as a whole, since he can't be caught.

Edited on Fri Apr-25-08 09:04 PM by johnnydrama
He doesn't understand how much you're supposed to lie to be a politican.

Like when the 3 candidates were asked what their worst quality was, and he told the real truth, and Hillary and Edwards told some bullshit.

Or like he says how he thinks a certain state will go, when everybody knows you're supposed to lie and say you have no chance, and will be lucky to get within 30.

28. Or he wants to up the ante, getting Hillary to say the same thing
Obama isn't looking to be the comeback kid, he's looking to get rid of Hillary once and for all. One way for him to do that is to get her to mutually agree to a battleground and then win that battleground. It's a gamble, but if he wins Indiana, it will pay off.

27. A 'tie-breaker' would be Hillary getting an equal amount of pledged delegates, plus one. Till then,
Obama is in the lead.

31. NO, he was obviously saying Indiana was a "tiebreaker" between PA, NC, and IN, NOT the whole race.
I can understand the confusion, but especially when HillFANS take things out of context. He was saying all 3 of those states were very important and IN was going to be very close so a tiebreaker of sorts between those 3 contests. GET REAL.

33. If he said that, then that's a really stupid thing to say.
It's like being ahead 9-0 in a game where you have to get to 10 points to win, and then accepting the offer of someone who says "Okay, whoever wins the next point wins it all." It's not that extreme, but that's what I get out of it.

is going to be so sweet here in GD: P.

By that time, of course, Jimbo will have a full-time poster back on duty in his environs, I suspect.
