Is there no pundit or other person out there who will defend the Clintons
against the smear job that is being done to them by the media, the RW, and now their own Democratic party?

I have had it with this crazy bullshit. I listened to Bill Clinton's comments about which he is now being attacked as desperated, last ditch, hell-bent moves to undermine Obama for the GE since Hillary knows she can't win it. What utter, feeble nonesense. It blows my mind how little people can think for themselves. The first race card was played by the Obama camp with the help of the media when Clinton was accused of racist remarks by comparing Jesse Jackson's campain to the Obama campaign as he won SC. That, people, was a statement of fact. Not a racist remark on a race card. And his latest remarks about the Obama campaign pulling out the race card against him and the memo that proves it is not what it is being made out to be. The very exxagerated outrage by some of the Black Caucus members which is designed to enrage black voters is so transparent it is shameful.

First of all, the one thing that the Clinton's were hated for, especially Bill, was his closeness to the African-American community, going all the way back to his Arkansas days as governor. They came into the WH with that baggae and carried it out with them when they left. Now for many blacks who are buying the lastest crap against Hillary being willing to do anything to ruin the GE for Obama it really is shameful and dishonest to support this smear. But they will buy into it. And what it means for America is that no matter who the person is, if he or she is black, and running for the Presidency, any criticism will be off limits unless you want to be forever labeled racist. Well, I just don't buy it. And Obama is less of a man than I thought he was if he allows that notion to permeate his campaign and allows the ugly whispering campaign against Bill and Hillary to continue. Hillary gets blamed for every negative thing that is uncovered about Obama, and for every gaffe he makes on his own. The stage is being set to blame an Obama loss in November on the Clintons...not on the nation's racism, but theirs.

I am black and I am sick of this crap. Nothing I can do about it but rant.

Let the flames begin.

8. Long before that remark of Bill's, Hillary had to fire Shaheen
for insinuating Obama dealt drugs.

There are plenty of legit criticisms you can make about Obama. Calling him a drug dealing or a mugger or a car jacker, asking repeatedly if he's "electable" when he's ahead by all metrics or otherwise trying to marginalize him don't happen to be any of those legit criticisms.

9. This is your partisan take on it.
I am also black, as if that means anything. The Clintons have ran a disgustingly racist campaign. There is NO amount of spin they can put on it. The MSM is wrong most of the time, but they have picked up on their trash. They may not be reporting on it for pure reasons, of course they have nefarious reasons for reporting on it, but they are reporting facts, and people will interpret anyway they choose. Most people have interpreted the Clintons' various statements as racist.

44. Provide some context/statements that these two individuals have
made and I will seriously look at them to determine if said statements are racist. But please don't come back with statements from them which observe or call out the racism of others. I want you to quote a similar statement made by Michelle in where she says Hillary only won Ohio because some other white woman politician won Ohio. Or something comparable.

You won't find such statements.

Of course the media helped Obama play the race card in SC. They worked it out in a back room right before the made a deal to actually check her Bosnia story.

Poor Hillary, a victim again.

Oh, what does the term "kitchen-sink" mean to you, BTW? I heard some Clinton aides talking about it and I was curious what they were referring to.

14. Bill Clinton did so much for minorities when he was in office -
and now they say he is a racist.

What a bunch of hypocrites.

They twist his words around to fit this label.

They did the same thing to Joe Biden - a man who has fought his whole life time for civil rights.

Now that Biden is out of the race, they are doing it to Bill.

Has it occurred to you that maybe your view of events is not the only valid one? I was troubled by Bill Clinton's remarks about SC: his mention of Jesse Jackson was not just a statement of fact, but carried an implication that Obama only won that state because he was black; Jesse Jackson did not become a major force in Dem party politics, and the inference was that Obama's victory didn't matter as a result.

Assuming for a moment that Clinton doesn't win the nom, imagine you and I were running against each other in 20 years time and you won New Hampshire. how would you feel if I said 'Well Hillary Clinton won New Hampshire way back in 2008...'

39. um, he did, you know
win because he is black, in south Carolina at least and in Georgia, and Mississippi, he won those states because he won 95% of the black vote, which comprises almost half, if not more than half (in Mississippi) of the democratic primary electorate in those states. Do you seriously want to argue that there was record turnout by black democrats because everyone loved his policies so much?

No, Hillary gets blamed for milking it. She milked the "bitter" remarks. She milked Pastorgate. She milked neighborgate. She said she was honored to stand by him and then shouted that he was dishonest.

She's got Evan Bayh, the governors of Pennyslvania and Ohio to stand up for her. Who else does she need? CBS and NBC have done fluff pieces on her candidacy. Is that not enough? Does every knee need to bow and every tongue confess?

Most of his accusations against Clinton are baseless smears. Yet the news media gives him a pass.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Clinton_pardons_controversy

Linda Sue Evans and Susan Rosenberg were pardoned. Weather Underground members, they were imprisoned on weapons and explosives charges.<17><18>

Marc Rich, a fugitive, was pardoned of tax evasion, after clemency pleas from Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, among many other international luminaries. He was required to pay a $100 million dollar fine and waive any use of the pardon as a defense against any future civil charges that were filed against him in the same case. Critics complained that Denise Rich, his former wife, had made substantial donations to the Clinton library and to Mrs. Clinton's senate campaign. Emails uncovered during the course of the investigation revealed that her final donation was provided a year before Scooter Libby requested that she approach Clinton for a pardon. According to Paul Volcker's independent investigation of Iraqi Oil-for-Food kickback schemes, Marc Rich was a middleman for several suspect Iraqi oil deals involving over 4 million barrels of oil.<19>

And she has the audacity to criticize Obama's association with Ayers?

And HRC said you must defend family, but you can always change pastors. Well HRC, you can always change friends too.

I'm sorry the woman is a hypocrite.

I thought he was still denying it.

There's a reason the black vote shifted dramatically toward Obama in that primary and hasn't wavered since. So if you've failed to see all the examples of the Clinton campaign playing the race card before South Carolina, then you either weren't paying attention, are horribly naive, or full of shite.

46. What happened before SC was tagged "the race card" by the media first
and then the Obama supporters jumped on that bandwagon because they saw it could work to their benefit and cause an irreversible schism between the Clintons and the African American community nation-wide. Many black public officials said at the time of Bill's Jesse Jackson comments that they did not feel it was a racist statement or playing the race card. Even Jesse Jackson senior said it when interviewed on the cable networks. Those labels became adopted as truth once they were repeated over and over again. AND Obama did nothing but add to the divisive nature and mischaracterization.
