Obama and his staff couldn't care less what you think about the color of his skin....
Edited on Sat Apr-26-08 11:58 AM by truthpusher

I saw this in a post by (tragedyandhope) in a thread about the Obama 'pick up' game.... at first I was a little shocked by the post which read 'quite a tan'. I thought it sounded a little questionable... but I opened the post and saw this photo showing the tan line from Obama's wrist watch.

Now, you all know as well as I that any presidential campaign is chock-full of advisor's. You would think with all the talk of the 'White man' 'Working White man' and the 'White womens' vote.... they would be doing there best to keep Obama out of the sun and as light in 'skin color' as possible.... as not to frighten those finicky 'white' voters. Well obviously from the photo... they can care less.

Once again, one more reason that I am proud to support Obama......

2. Those who let race stop them from considering him keep forgetting he's half white
Then again, a lot of those folks would never vote for a mixed-race candidate either.

8. I believe that those who let race stop them from considering him
should be referred to as Republicans.

4. Logically, that's "could NOT care less", or else you're saying the opposite of what you mean.
I am out to fix this "could care less" misconception one person at a time.

But yeah, why should they care? Why should anyone care about how well-tanned he is? I think George Hamilton is probably darker than Obama. I'm pretty pasty-looking all over and can't tan worth anything. I run from fish-belly white to ivory, and all shades in-between. But I do have a wristwatch tan-line, barely. All it indicates, really, is that I have a watch and am thus probably smart enough to tell time. That's what Obama's tan-line indicates as well.

12. On a silly note, I bet a lot of the racists don't think black people
tan. So that tan line might be a revelation for them. :)

13. Is Obama a U.S, Marine? If not, why is he wearing a shirt that indicates he is?
Sometimes a shirt is just a shirt. But I would expect that Marines and former Marines might be put off by someone borrowing from their glory just to look cool on the court.

Why not wear an FBI shirt? Or an ATF one? Or a DEA one? All of those would make as much, or more, sense as him wearing one made for U.S. Marines.

I think a person should EARN the right to wear a USMC T-shirt. (Same way I thinks a person should EARN the right to be president, not just put on the T-shirt.)

P.S.: I was Navy, not USMC, but I highly respect the Corps and believe them to be deserving of special esteem that no one should unfairly assume unto themselves.

14. It is a shirt, not a uniform. They sell them down on Quanico to anyone...
If the shirt is part of the uniform, why is it sold at Walmart sometimes... Dude really, this is what we are fighting over? If so we are screwed...
