I just realized why McCain went to Selma & New Orleans...
Edited on Sat Apr-26-08 06:29 PM by rosebud57
McCain has a contingency plan and to work it has to be implemented before our nominee is certain.

If HRC manages to get the nomination via Super Delegates subverting the will of the voters via the pledged delegates and states won, then he wants to be positioned to reap the disaffected African American vote.

George w. Bush loses any hope of the GOP garnering a higher percentage of the black vote and Hillary strives to drive the African American vote to the GOP.

4. I don't think the African American voters of LA
will be voting for McSame.

Below is a link to a local paper praising mcsame's visit. The guy that wrote the article (I wouldn't call him a journalist) is pretty RW. Read the comment below the article, it summarizes pretty well what mcsame really thinks about New Orleans' recovery.

5. Or it could just be cover
when the republicans steal the election, they'll point at the dissension among Dems and McCain's outreach to the black community to 'prove' that the crucial 6% jumped parties.

And Hillary is helping it happen.

6. It's probably why he doesn't want the NC GOP to air the Wright spot.
Playing the Wright card will only anger AA voters. And he's going to need them in other places too, like PA and MI.

7. Nobody should underestimate the anger of the black
community if they change the rules. McCain will get a goodly portion.

8. A Friend of mine and I were talking this morning via phone about this....
she pointed it out me. She is Black, as I am. She said, while Hillary tries to make herself electable by promoting her whiteness, McCain is courting the Black vote. She too is totally through with Hillary Clinton. Her and her hubby live in New Jersey. She admitted that she voted for Hillary Clinton on Super Tuesday, but vows now not to ever do that again.
