vote fraud, voter-cleansing lists, voter 'challenges', malfunctioning machines, NO machines...
..thwarted Dem voter registration drives, etc. etc. etc.

Regardless who the nominee is, how are Dems going to overcome what we KNOW will be yet another Corprat/Repig attempt to steal ANOTHER election?

NOTHING has been done about any of these issues (except crap like HAVA which only makes it easier for them to do it). They have this down to a science by now.

How the HELL are we going to overcome all that in 2008?

1. By voting in numbers that they can NOT fiddle with enough to counter.
This is why they want to keep things close. If the early polls show 60% for the dem and the exit polls concur and yet somehow the republican manages to win there will be rioting in the streets...(litterally). It is too difficult for the election frauders to create an 11 point turnaround and expect to get away with it imo.

I further believe that with the unprecedented number of NEW voters registering Dem across our nation AND the animosity republican voters feel toward mCcain we Dems will have a better than 60-40 split come November. I predict a landslide victory for Dems across the board, we will gain even more congressmen/women and the populist movement will sweep Senator Obama into the White House.

2. We have to save some energy and a few bucks to work election protection
and we have to get Howard in the loop.

3. Two words, VIDEO CAMERAS!
If we can get video cams into enough backed-up lines, we can at least be able to apply enough pressure on the media to assure coverage, and serve as a warning to what may be in store for anybody trying to skewer the process.

4. Even before that, we need people to check their registration.
This year, there are new digital reg databases and they will "lose" Democrats. We need to work that so people won't be surprised when they show up to vote.

5. It's because we have a candidate who employs GOP methods to suppress the vote.
It's the same sordid thing that has been done by the GOP for many decades, but that we thought we had ended after 1972 in the Democratic party. It's anathema to everything our party stands for, but Hillary and her loyalists have used it just like the Republicans who have done it for decades.

The GOP federal judicial appointments cut their party teeth doing such things.

7. By sheer numbers. And then...
I fully expect Obama's call for transparency in government to include massive election reform.

8. Bingo!
"by sheer numbers" is just the ticket for overcoming election fraud, because it's all we got left.

Please do NOT buy into the "oh, it's all so hopeless because the e-voting has already decided who's
going to win" meme. That's exactly what the Man Behind the Curtain wants you to do, just give up.

This is shaping up to be our V for vendetta moment. Show up, vote, and know that they can only steal
the close races without being detected, not the landslide named Barak Obama.

9. We can't rely on politicians to do the work. They won't or
it would be done by now. That's our job just like it's our election.
