Poll question: DU Democrats: Do you agree MORE with political views of Rev Wright or Douglas Coe?
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 10:39 AM by blm
.

For those nonreligious members, like me, remember this is just about the POLITICAL VIEWS of these two spiritual leaders. Wright having been part of Obama's life for 20 years, and Coe being a significant part of Hillary Clinton's life since 1993.

not religious ones.

11. Which does that? Coe is set up FOR the DC crowd. Wright stayed local in Chicago, so
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 11:13 AM by blm
why do you assess their political views and influence as equal?

I would guess that is a refuge one MUST take when they support politicians influenced by Coe.

I am an atheist who happens to agree far more with the political views of Wright, and in fact, don't believe in ANYTHING that Coe represents, especially politically.

Which of the two spiritual leaders do you feel more comfortable with re their POLITICAL VIEWS, not their religious ones, but their POLITICAL VIEWS?

4. After watching Rev. Wright interviewed by Moyers...
I think he would make a far better president than Obama. Wright is very strong in areas where Obama is weak. It's those weak Obama areas that tend to really piss me off and distrust him.

6. If you reversed their careers, however, you'd likely see a reverse of that dynamic, as well.
I happen to trust A LOT MORE of the people around Obama than I do ANY of those closest to Clintons.

more in common with Wrights opinions than he has revealed.

Gee - their consciences suddenly kick in when it comes to voting for one or the other?

the one where someone in The Family takes credit for some of her votes, saying it's due to their influence.

IMO that is incredible.

24. Ah... it wasn't a direct quote. It was from the Ehrenreich article...
Furthermore, The Family takes credit for some of Clinton's rightward legislative tendencies, including her support for a law guaranteeing "religious freedom" in the workplace, such as for pharmacists who refuse to fill birth control prescriptions and police officers who refuse to guard abortion clinics.

I wonder if Obama voted for that religious freedom stuff, too...

but Doug Coe makes Wright look like a choir boy in comparison.

God forbid they look into the shadows for one of America's strangest groups of uber Christians and their designs on getting and using power.

I forgot the author's name, but itt's supposed to be coming out soon, the month of May, I think.
