Clinton criticizing closure of Indiana factory that (Bill) Clinton helped close
http://action.credomobile.com/sirota/2008/04/in_my_upcoming_book_the.html

Clinton is airing this advertisement in Indiana, bemoaning the closure of a defense contractor Magnequench's manufacturing plant in Valparaiso (she is also echoing this line in her stump speeches). Looking at the camera, she tells us she's upset that the 200 jobs that were sent to China, and that "now America's defense relies on Chinese spare parts." And then comes the kicker: She tells viewers that "George Bush could have stopped it, but he didn't."

Clinton is certainly right that it is a tragedy that 200 American jobs were killed in a corporate deal that also exported sensitive military technology to China. But she forgets to mention that it wasn't George Bush who was in the key position to stop it - it was Bill Clinton.

I expect an equally deafening silence to meet this thread about the latest example of her shameless lying.

9. Hahaha...
well I was looking more for someone to try to explain how this is "OK" somehow for their candidate to do... just lie to people like that... pretend like her & her husband's DLC policies aren't to blame for this stuff.

Plus, I use a treatment to make it "Extra" white. But, the fact that I have an "Outstanding" uniform has more to do with vanity than professionalism. "Outstanding" is the highest you can get on a uniform inspection- FYI.

6. It's stuff like this that makes me think perhaps Obama SHOULD...
...debate Clinton one more time. They have these little skeletons in the closet all over the place. She uses her time in the White House as an advantage, and I think it's time she start taking credit for some of the failures as well. In fact, if I were Obama, I would use that exact line.

13. that is an awesome essay by Sirota
worth reading the whole thing.

"And that gets us back to the intense sense of outrage brewing all over the country. It is an outrage inherent in Ed Dixon's letter to the editor - one that suggests more and more Americans know they are be treated like fools."

That seems to be a key. I have noticed that more and more recently. Hillary is now getting more brazen with straight-out lying to the public. Saying that she has more votes, saying that the ABC debate questions were tough, and stirring up resentment about Florida and Michigan. I think you almost have to be uninformed now to trust her.

By that logic, the last fight I had with my girlfriend was your fault. When are you going to take responsibility for it, eh?

30. Let me explain further.
Here's what the original message concluded.

"But she forgets to mention that it wasn't George Bush who was in the key position to stop it - it was Bill Clinton."

Again, can she not disagree with her husband? Or are women supposed to be chattel?

David Sirota is a pro-Obama journalist whose blog has nothing but pro-Obama, anti-Clinton pieces.

29. Does that mean he has a record of lying?
Has he consistently been debunked to make you feel he is unreliable the way I feel Krugman and Lyons (pro-Hillary writers) are now unreliable. Even there though, I don't assume they are unreliable. I can see it, or dig up the evidence.
