The Obama campaign needs to learn to control the media
bush and the Clintons both mastered the art of media manipulation. Obama needs to learn this skill as well, if he wants to survive the relentless attacks of the Clintons and their right wing attack machine.

3. How did Clintons handle the Clintons trashed the WH lie? How did they handle the
first 5 years of "Clinton was asleep at the wheel on terrorism' story that was pushed in the mainstream media and not addressed by Clinton until Sept 2006?

4. The Obama campaign, especially David Axelrod, has done a fantastic job...
of controlling the message up until now. I think the reason for the media fervor now is because they didn't plan on Rev. Wright's latest media blitz. Obama gave his speech a month ago, and it was supposed to be over. Unfortunately, it seems the Rev. Wright has his own media plan.

8. It's not the Wright issue
The top "story" today if there is finally a poll that shows Hillary doing better than Obama, against McCain. That's not good media control

7. The Clintons control the media? And also on that note, the media can be controllled by Democrats?
The media seems to favor/disfavor whichever candidate it feels like at a given moment.

The only consistency being that MSM does not like Democrats in the month of October before a general election.

the only thing he can probably do at this point (and has been doing effectively), is to take adavantage of "new media" and internet/youtube etcc.

The last thing we need is a green-thumbed nublet that's going to get ripped apart with ease by the Rove-like Machine.

11. And Hillary isn't? She has more baggage
than a homeless person on the streets of New York.
If she gets the nom. which she won't the pundits will have a field day.

13. You are rather clueless
The point isn't that one candidate or another has no baggage or won't be subject to attacks. Of course they will.

The point is having the experience and fortitude to withstand the right-wing spin cycle. Both of the Clintons have been living through the political firestorms far longer than newbie Barack.

23. How did they do on that Clintons trashed the WH story?
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 06:01 PM by blm
That lasted nine months. And THAT occurred when Clinton was still fairly popular but Rove got the better of them both on that story, didn't he?

Then came the Clinton was soft on terrorism meme that lasted only.....five years.

I believe you are not aware of what party they belong to. right wing attack machine is not something to compare a former democratic president and current democratic senator to.

16. Neither Obama nor Clinton control the media. The corporofascists control the media.
They're trying to destroy Obama right now. If they succeed, Clinton's next.

They'll stop at nothing to perpetuate their fascism.

It's too bad it's illegal to suggest beheading all the media executives and displaying their heads on pikes.

26. The best way to get the media controlled
is to join the oligarchy and their goals.

I really do not think that Obama needs to go down that road.

As the poet who wrote "Damn You Barack Obama, You Pretty M%#%r F@#$@r" said, "you compromise your principles in exchange for power until there is nothing left of you."

The poet's name is Darian Dauchan
