Wright called out the media - they will not forgive him
The will run it over and over, follow him and air every public appearance and they can only make it relevant by tying him to Obama, which Obama did himself in his "Race Speech".

Political Rhetoric is not well received, particularly by the new politician on the seen that no one really knew about. The 'blank screen' is being filled in by the media because Obama wanted it to stay blank to appeal to a wide audience.

I work in the print media, there is an old saying 'don't piss off someone that buys ink by the barrel' (ie: Newspapers).

Wright has done just that with all forms of media and with his views he is an easy target for them, face it, this is not for mainstream America.

I have been watching different news stations off and on all day, there have been several black ministers saying Wright does not speak for the black churches of America.

The super delegates, as well as most of us, are watching the coverage and the commercials using Obama and Wright against dem candidates in NC and MS now.

A Historical Election indeed. A nightmare.

3. You prefer a country without media? Or maybe one run by the government.
That sounds like a great idea......NOT

a free country requires a free press like it or not.

I take it you don't care for free speech either. Glad you are not in charge.

6. You might want to read the stories about the retired generals
who were paid to help sell the Iraq war.......

Your ignorance about the corporate media/government interface is very telling.

And Hillary is still a second rate talent.

It's easy to want to pay "them" back but don't go there.
This is not a good situation - the one with Wright I mean.

8. Of course, my comment was tongue-in-cheek...
but, no, of course we need a media. I would prefer a media that acted responsibly. Not one that only goes for ratings and not one that has an obvious agenda. Of course I care for free speech. Speech bought and paid for by politicians and corporations is not free, in my opinion.

12. Real journalism is rare, 24/7 cable news is hard to fill
and it leads to the National Enquirer style of reporting

However it is what we have and as hard to believe as it is a large segment of America still does not use the internet at all

20. Right, and as someone in print media you understand the power of the advertisers.
I get it. I just have a tiny bit of hope that we can get that behind us and get back to when public opinion was reported without an eye on how much money is to be made from sensationalism.

Sure, I might be a tad too optimistic, but all I've got is to rail against the f'd up system we have and hope that that large segment of America starts to get with it and sees the media for what it is. I refuse to give in to Big Media.

26. I'll be the first to admit that Obama has flaws.
What politician doesn't have flaws? And I'm not blaming others for his missteps. However, the media's fetish with Rev. Wright is not a flaw of Obama. It it simply a means for them to gain viewers. That's my view. That was my point.

Sure, Obama has to start playing the game to win, I suppose. all I know is that Obama is the only candidate in this race that appeals to me and gives my the hope that there actually could be some major changes in the fucked up world of politics in this country. As far as I am concerned, we need change and I don't see Hillary bringing that kind of change and certainly not McCain.

Since you don't think Obama will pull it off because of Wright, what attributes of her campaign will bring her over the top do you think? Will it be better Marketing and Advertising? or something else?

30. So, are you happy about that?
Assuming Obama gets the majority of the popular vote and delegates, are you happy that she would win because the supers picked her, despite going against the voters? Is that really what you want to happen? Is it simply because you think she can do better than Obama against McCain?

Also, If Obama gets the nod, will you support him?

7. They put everyone under a microscope, few can withstand it
That is their job.

What I don't like is that it wasn't done in January when we still had a choice, Biden, Edwards...you know, and ELECTABLE candidate.

Obama hiding Wright, and the media not covering it when they knew full well, now that was a disservice to the country in general and the party in particular.

Obama never hid Wright. His stuff has been on youtube for a lot longer than Obama has been in the race....

Stop the attempts to rewrite history.

Hillary will never be Bill. That ship has sailed.

She is a second rate talent.

And you know it. It oozes through your posts slandering Obama.

The Princess of Peace is NOT a viable candidate at all. See Columbia "speaking fees" and the Chinese connection.

No one said they don't carry their share of the blame. But the waterboys for the MSM, such as yourself, also play their part. If you want to talk of responsibility the first place to start is with yourself.

32. Read for comprehension. You can do it.
Everybody plays their part in this world, and you CAN control that. You have clearly chosen to play a part that helps the media do their dirty work. Once again, take responsibility FOR YOURSELF. Is that simple enough or do you need pictures too?

37. You work in print media and spell like you do?
No wonder newspapers have gone to shit since I left the profession a few years back.

"THEY will run it over..."

"by the new politician on the SCENE..."

"Political rhetoric" (the "R" wouldn't be capitalized).

Oh - and your punctuation is crap, too: "I have been watching different news stations off and on all day (PERIOD). (CAPITAL) There have been several black ministers saying Wright does not speak for the black churches of America."

I'm sorry. This is a blog and I don't usually care much about spelling and punctuation errors, as a rule, because it's not important here. However, when one alleges to work in print journalism and then makes all these errors, I'm suspect.

Maybe you work in the print shop or the business office and not as a reporter. In which case, you are telling the truth, but you are misleading those of us reading this blog.

BTW, I don't give a crap who wins the nomination. I never liked anyone running on either side.
