I think I know why some people spend so much time in GDP
Check out the greatest page - but first change your options so that GDP doesn't show up on it.

There are just SO MANY things wrong with the world today - who can possibly deal? All you have to do is spend about 20 minutes reading about it and you feel so overwhelmed and depressed....

That's why people spend so much time here. For one thing, they can just focus on one thing and have some kind of hope that it might actually happen (their candidate winning). For another thing, they can just imagine that once their candidate wins, that candidate will magically change the world and fix all the other problems.

Of course that won't happen.

But hey...
