His campaign was going down the toilet before that. He finished third in Iowa, he was running out of money and he was sinking all over the nation. That was before the so-called scream.
10. Nope. Dean was the one who screamed. Wright is not Obama.
They may do their best, but in the end, all they have are clips of someone who isn't Barack Obama saying things that people know Barack Obama doesn't believe.
21. Huh? Me....lack a sense of humor? I'm for Obama...that
comment was meant to be sarcasm against Wright, though. Wright DID say he wouldn't be asked to be VP in his speech today. Comments like that will hurt Obama, me thinks.
i came on here this afternoon and everyone's having a collective meltdown.
any other time the reverend wright would be a hero to us progressives. what's being done to him in the media ain't right. what's being done to him HERE in this very gathering place of liberals and progressives is abominable.
look, obama is trying to conduct his campaign with honor and integrity. i may not agree with his ideology or his positions 100%, but i respect his character tremendously. he hasn't thrown anyone under a bus or debased hmself in any way. he's not willing to dump on his friend for the sake of political expediency. that's something to be admired.
i don't agree that this wright thing is comparable to the dean scream. apples and organges. it takes a shitload of integrity for a politician in the running to follow the high road and let the chips fall. perhaps it was some of reverend wright's influence that helped shape obama's exceptional character?
23. That is because there is no comparison- really.
Obama is in a position that makes him a lot less stoppable. He hasn't lost momentum and Hillary Clinton is not an impressive replacement for Senator Kerry.
