The person who made him "this color" ("black") is white America. If you look at the actual person you will notice he is not the color black. The blackness of African-Americans is a cultural construct originally designed to keep them separate and unequal. The strategy to defeat this may reclaim and embrace the idea of "black" (which is more Wright's domain) or fight to move beyond color (which is more Obama's). It is by no means inconsistent for people of both views to attend the same church, because they believe in the same God and the same idea of justice. It is a tactical difference.
