****Enthusiastic HILLARY supporter ORGANIZED the Rev. WRIGHT National Press Club EVENT****
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 07:23 AM by ballsalicious
http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/columnists/louis/index.html

Shortly before he rose to deliver his rambling, angry, sarcastic remarks at the National Press Club Monday, Wright sat next to, and chatted with, Barbara Reynolds.

A former editorial board member at USA Today, she runs something called Reynolds News Services and teaches ministry at the Howard University School of Divinity. (She is an ordained minister).

It also turns out that Reynolds - introduced Monday as a member of the National Press Club "who organized" the event - is an enthusiastic Hillary Clinton supporter.

On a blog linked to her Web site- www.reynoldsnews.com- Reynolds said in a February post: "My vote for Hillary in the Maryland primary was my way of saying thank you" to Clinton and her husband for the successes of Bill Clinton's presidency.

The same post criticized Obama's "Audacity of Hope" theme: "Hope by definition is not based on facts," wrote Reynolds. It is an emotional expectation. Things hoped for may or may not come. But help based on experience trumps hope every time."

In another blog entry, Reynolds gives an ever-sharper critique of Obama: "It is a sad testimony that to protect his credentials as a unifier above the fray, the senator is fueling the media characterization that Rev. Dr. Wright is some retiring old uncle in the church basement."

I don't know if Reynolds' eagerness to help Wright stage a disastrous news conference with the national media was a way of trying to help Clinton - my queries to Reynolds by phone and e-mail weren't returned yesterday - but it's safe to say she didn't see any conflict between promoting Wright and supporting Clinton.

2. *Sigh* Why does this not surprise me? I'm so disappointed in
Senator Clinton's campaigning, and in her, and in her staff, and SOME of her supporters (I certainly can't lump all of them in there, and I have no doubt that some of her supporters are disappointed in this kind of thing as well).
I really hoped we (the Democratic party) could rise above this kind of thing and could conduct a clean campaign without all the SHIT that we've gotten used to from the Reich Wing over the years. It's so wrong that the same tactics are now being used by Democrats against Democrats.

26. If you think Clinton or her campaign had anything to do with this
then I can'f find a tinfoil hat big enough to fit you.

Wright appeared over the weekend as well. Was boogeyman Hillary behind that one too?

Do you think Hillary wrote the words for Wright to say?

4. Hillary can't win on the issues or personality, so it is obvious
she would use her surrogates in her kitchen sink approach to character assassination politics. Sad epitaph to her 35 years of nothingness.

12. JESUS - READ HER POST! SHE DOES NOT SUPPORT BARACK!
I have given lip service to the unprecedented saga of Senator Barack Obama to become president of the United States, but not my heart-felt support. I wonder is it because I have seen so much tragedy confront our big dreamers, especially African-Americans, that like a mother to a son I have to curb my enthusiasm.

SHE IS A HILLARY SUPPORTER

Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 07:38 AM by xultar
Most Obama supporters here were saying Wright was correct in his statements and he has a right to speak and he's an intelligent man.

Now you think he's an idiot and can easily be controlled.

What a fucked up post.

And like little lemmings people fall in line to agree. Regardless of how stupid the post is.

11. this is all about Wright saying
how dare you repudiate me Obama.

Wright is intentionally doing this because he knows it will hurt Obama.

Obama needs to go ahead and say that's how it is? Ok, Im done with you.

19. That may be how it seems but I'm not privy to Wright's intentions
An alternative view could be that Obama and Wright may both want to bring Wright's ministry into the open, exam all it's warts and wrinkles and have it largely forgotten before the convention.

That perspective fits the data that is available to me as well as any guess that Wright has intentions to harm Obama's candidacy.

20. Unless you have proof that Reynolds told Wright what to say
then I have to assume that Ms Reynolds is a lifelong Democrat who hoped that Jeremiah Wright would use this opportunity to apologize for any offense that people may have taken out of his out-of-context comments, and also to apologize to Barack Obama for any embarassment in the context of the ongoing campaign for the Democratic nomination and the Presidency of the USA.

As it turns out - once in the spotlight, Wright decided to display his true colors.

I don't see how Reynolds could have predicted that Wright would go off the rails.

24. As I have been suspecting
The Clintons aren't satisfied with dividing the Democratic Party with the intention of pushing the activists out, they are attempting to drive a stake through the black community. There is nothing too vile, too low, for the Clintons in their quest for power.

33. More from Barbara Reynolds website, had to use the cache from google
Now since one Clinton cleaned up the first mess created by Bush I, why not let another Clinton clean up the mess created by Bush Light and why not a woman?
Traditionally, I have sympathized or cast my lot with the "underperson," the one needlessly being picked on or ridiculed. Media treatment of Senator Clinton has been degrading.
Much of the news media have gone bonkers over Senator Obama, pandering and refusing to ask tough questions, while intensely and sometimes nastily grilling Senator Clinton.

What took you so long to blame her? God knows it's never Obama's fault for being an idiot in the first place and having the nutty Wright as his pastor. And of course it's not Obama supporters fault for being gullible enough to think he gets a free pass to the White House without any hard questions asked of him or his background looked into.

45. This just in on Breaking Wind News
Some say Hillary Clinton was also responsible for the Indian Ocean earthquake and subsequent tsunami, when she used her super secret Sailor Senshi powers for evil:

Sen. Clinton Using Powers for Evil

An anonymous source also attributed the breakup of the Beatles to Sen. Clinton, when she mind-controlled Yoko Ono into marrying John Lennon as part of her nefarious scheme to ruin popular music as we know it. Other incidents linked to this scheme include Sen. Clinton sending those little boys to Michael Jackson's house, getting the Gallagher brothers a record deal, and writing Madonna's rap song.

When asked for comment on these horrific allegations, Sen. Clinton rubbed her hands together and shrilly cackled, "bwahahaha." Then she ripped off her mask and revealed her true form.

Sen. Clinton's true form (allegedly)
