Once again SUSA only poll in IN with HRC ahead! Assignment - is SUSA owned by Vin Gupta InfoUSA?
Here is the assignment - is SUSA owned by Vin Gupta InfoUSA? Gupta is the ally of HRC & Bill who gave him 3.3m and his constituents filed a suit against him for overpaying Pres. Clinton for Services! I have found a couple of references on the internet that he does own both SurveyUSA and InfoUSA but I still am not 100% sure. Can anyone find the "smoking gun"?

Here is the link to info on Clinton's and Gupta connection:

1. I find that highly unlikely.
If it's true, it would mean SUSA is dead in the water forever.

They would never risk that much for one campaign.

I think it's some sort of continuous sampling error.

3. I'll have to ask my statistics professor tomorrow.
We've been talking about errors a lot lately, and he's a bit of a political junkie, maybe he'll look into it.

4. According to SUSA site, it was founded and run by Jay Leve.
SurveyUSA was founded 9/15/90 by Jay H. Leve.

* Leve remains in charge of the day-to-day operations of the company.

Leve is a former newspaper reporter and editor at the Miami Herald. He worked 7 years at Knight-Ridder, the company that owned the Miami Herald. Leve has a MSJ and a BSJ, with highest distinction, from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

* SurveyUSA is privately held.

I did some quick searching for a link to Gupta, but came up empty.

6. Per Wiki: Gupta controls Opinion Research Corp, not SUSA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_Research_Corporation

Opinion Research Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCI), based in Princeton, New Jersey, is a demographic, health, and market research company. It was founded in 1938 by Claude Robinson and George Gallup, although Gallup quickly left the firm in 1939. Opinion Research Corp was acquired by InfoUSA on August 4, 2006 for $12 per share in cash.<1>

Controversy

Opinion Research Corporation's parent company, InfoUSA, is controlled by Vinod Gupta, a noted donor to, fundraiser for, and supporter of Bill and Hillary Clinton. On January 12th, 2007, ORC announced a "formal polling partnership" with CNN. This, combined with existing allegations of bias against CNN, has led critics to question the reliability of CNN polls regarding Hillary Clinton's likely 2008 presidential run.

7. Don't kill the messenger.
I'm guessing that SUSA has it close to right. I think their assessment of Hillary's lead is too high -- it should be closer to 6%.

14. These same others had PA closer than the outcome - The whole
thing sucks because we will never know, for sure, what the real truth
is about polls and results. But, wouldn't put it past the Clintons
to pull some shit. I will never in a million years believe NH was on
the up and up. I also believe Bill knew that 2004 was rigged and
he traded that knowledge for help getting HRC in the WH.

15. She has proven that she almost never posts double digit wins.
She has one, count 'em one, win over 60%. Arkansas
Two wins over 57%. Arkansas. Rhode Island.

It won't start now.

It's over.
Still.

13. Polls can be shills too. The Machinery for Clinton is hard at work.
I hope it doesn't work for them in Indiana. Rendell, the racist goon and his machine worked the election in PA for the outcome but it didn't get her the 10+ points she would have liked. Hopefully Indiana is much more favorable to Obama.
