2. "My Pastor for the past 20 years shares none of my basic beliefs. Who knew?"
I guess the Obama campaign thinks it is a slam-dunk case, and their candidate hit the ball out of the park by severing his ties with Wright.

Obama knows it's a weak case, and that's why he looked real nervous and hesitant answering questions from the press less than one hour ago.

11. Obama is so outraged only because the criticism finally stuck
It is ridiculous that he did not know the nature of his spiritual father. I'm not buying, though I do think this will save his political hide, until the Repubs use it to call his judgment into to question or to call him a dreaded "flip-flopper."

12. Oh my fucking GOD.
Given the circumstances of the last 4 months, THAT is the STUPIDEST political comment I've heard since "Read my Lips: No new TAXES!" in the middle of a recession.

If he gets the nod NOW, you literally can kiss the election goodbye. He doesn't even have the excuse he's been "SWIFTBOATED" as he has called the man his spiritual mentor, taken book titles from him, and praised him to the sky.

This reminds me of the scene in "The Dead Zone" where the shady politician played by Martin Sheen holds a child up in the air to shield himself from Christopher Walken as the sniper. He's all done here.
