President Obama will be sworn into office in January, 2009.
Some of you may not like that. However, learn to love it.

It.is.going.to.happen.

He will end the primary race on June 3 with more pledged delegates, and the Democratic Party is not stupid enough to alienate all the new voters, the great percentage of which are Obama supporters. More importantly, neither is the party dumb enough to piss off the Black community. African-Americans have stood with the Democratic Party through thick and thin---they won't do that if they feel like the Party won't stand with them when an African-American wins the most pledged delegates, the popular vote, yet loses because of party bosses.

Rev. Wright had a great sermon in front of the NAACP. His remarks in response to questions at the NCP, however, were over the top, and quite frankly, disgustingly wrong---and, Obama made a hard, but good judgment to speak the truth about it.

So, all of you who are pro-Hillary who want to keep trying to damage Obama with this controversy are doing nothing but damaging the Democratic nominee, and the next President of the United States.

President Obama. Learn to love hearing it, because it.is.going.to.happen.

Keep this up and you and the few here of your ilk will be all alone with your Obama... you aren't doing your candidate any favors with this childish behavior.

"Keep this up and you and the few here of your ilk will be all alone with your Obama... you aren't doing your candidate any favors with this childish behavior."

Now, you are saying that me and my "ilk" will be all alone with Obama, meaning you won't be standing beside him. How else should I read that? Should I put on my Hillary-approved Oppositeland glasses? Right is wrong and wrong is right?

No, that is not what I'm saying. Cleary I am saying you are doing your candidate no favors and are scaring votes away from him... you will be standing alone with Obama while Hillary moves into the White House... this is what I'm saying... obviously, since I said you aren't doint your candidate any favors.

I've said time and time again that I will vote for whomever is nominated.

Instead of brow beating people, how about trying to unite them?

You are full of bullshit on Wright. He's a good man. He and Obama are not required by law or morality to agree on anything at all. Throwing a good man under the bus doesn't help Obama at all. And quite frankly, I find it disgusting to read your OP and your hand on the body heading under the bus.

None of this helps or hurts either Clinton or Obama. Making an issue where there should be none isn't going to help anyone.

11. Got that crystal ball fired up, eh, Dorothy?
Barack not only needs to deal with Hillary, but he also will have to EFFECTIVELY deal with McSame, the GOP smear machine, the right leaning media, the prejudice, and more before he moves into the White House.

Judging by how ineffectively he's dealt with some other issues during his campaign, I'd say the odds are not with him.

The fight is far from over. Take a dose of reality and realize there's a long way to go still.

(Like many Democrats, I do not currently support either Democratic candidate.)

17. Wish you were right, but you're not
Those of us who like Obama are dreaming if we think this Wright "issue" created by the corporate media hasn't hurt Obama's chances in the rest of the primary and the GE. Some white folks have been searching for a reason not to vote for him and this will give a perfect excuse. A week ago the news reported that 8-15% of voters would not vote for a black candidate no matter who it was. Add in Obama's political leanings, the skeletons in his closet, and the beating he and Hillary are giving each other and it's easy to see why the party big wigs are so worried about the presidential ticket dragging down their chances in other races. It will be interesting to see if the rumors are correct and if an undamaged candidate like Al Gore is brought in to reunify the part and serve as a consensus candidate. After all, he still has not endorsed anyone and with the RNC blaming him and the Global Warming movement for food shortages he could do a lot for our cause in a position of power.

Some minds will really be blown, but it is going to happen. I have hope, but it's reasoned hope based on actual votes. Clinton supporters who cling to the one in a million chance of Hillary stealing the nomination based on fantasy have a whole new kind of hope beyond hope. Someday soon, I hope we will be able to tap into that amazing resource to help get our party into the White House.

but I'd also say that there are a lot of realistic people on this board who see the chances of that are becoming increasingly remote.

And that has a whole lot less to do with Hillary than with the candidate and campaign itself....
