Iraq soldiers and Vets thrown under the bus by Bush, Cheney, McCain
Where's the media story on that?

The surge was not a success! Where's the media on this?

Instead while people bicker about the primary, the media politely lets McCain LIE about what he said. "100 years? "That'd be fine with me."

Via TPM http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/191838.php

It seems the AP has fallen for the McCain campaign's and the RNC's effort to prevent anyone from using McCain's own words against him during the 2008 presidential campaign. As noted earlier, what the McCain campaign is pushing for here is a standard in which any negative ad targeting McCain must be delivered with the McCain camp's own spin included in order to be within bounds -- a standard few politicians, to say the least, have ever been granted. And even though the political press has been highly indulgent of the McCain campaign on this issue, I don't think I've seen any news organization so egregiously buy into McCain's false statements as the Associated Press.

The AP article lede reads: "The Republican National Committee demanded Monday that television networks stop running a television ad by the Democratic Party that falsely suggests John McCain wants a 100-year war in Iraq."

Yet at the same time, the media (CNN and FOx) has covered up the coffins and refused to talk about the most deadly month in Iraq since September 07.

Four more American kids were killed in Iraq today. Four more names piled onto the thousands of dead Americans who volunteered to defend their country and were sent to their deaths by George W. Bush.

This makes the deadliest month in Iraq since September of 2007.

But none of this happened.

Because our media has no reports on it.

So whilst all of you fight away and talk about people being thrown under a bus, remember who the real victims of the hit-n-run are.

It's our soldiers and it's our Vets.

THE MEDIA HAS BLOOD ON ITS HANDS--remember that!!! WE SHOULD PULL TOGETHER TO GET A REAL MEDIA WHO FOCUSES ON THE REAL BETRAYALS OUT THERE, NOT THE FAKE, TRUMPED UP Bull Sh*T!

BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW.

4. Well, what became Current I guess...
From the Wiki entry on Current Tv:

"After the 2000 U.S. presidential election, Gore and Hyatt wanted to start a conventional cable news network. They were disenchanted with the existing networks, especially CNN. The plan evolved into making a viewer-generated channel aimed at an audience demographic age 18-34."

There was a lot of buzz at the time that he would be putting together a progressive cable news network to combat the lies and spin of faux news. I'm not sure if that was official buzz, or just internet buzz.

7. The military personnel need US to FOCUS on their needs instead of
trumped up media stories.

Get their stories out.

Protest FOR them and PROTEST against media advertisers.

We need to stop wasting time arguing over candidates and instead we need to get people to GET OFF THEIR BUTTS and FIGHT for our soldiers!
