Hey Clinton supporters: wait a FUCKING MINUTE! Yesterday it was "he must denounce him" and today
it's "I can't believe he threw him under the bus!"

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING??

Your hypocrisy, your Rovian tactics and your unconscionable behavior is beyond even Clinton herself.

**This is not aimed at ALL Clinton supporters here - but there's a large number of you that this fits and you know who you are (as do the rest of us). You're making asses of yourself and your candidate of choice. Flame on, I couldn't care less - you know I'm right.**

Yesterday Wright was was correct than anyone could ever be, today he's 'inappropriate and out of control'.

Of course- after what Wright said yesterday- now Clinton supporters are holding it against Obama that he's had enough.

23. Wright made many valid points, but he made them is such a condescending manner,
and with such inappropriate use of comedic tools, that he looses all credibility.

He got jealous, and took advantage of the situation for his 5 minutes of fame at the expense of everyone involved. That's you, me, the process, and Sen. Obama.

The press, and the Clinton campaign, and John Mc Cain brought Rev. Wright into the spotlight, not Obama. As a matter of fact, it was Obama who told him not to show up at his Announcement to run. Clinton's campaign and the other people who fear the change that Obama has offered America turned Rev. Wright into the "ratings cow" that he has become.

Why? Because he is a threat to the status-quo of politics-as-usual players like the Clinton machine, and the Republicans. They don't want the radical change needed to right this ship of state. They want the power, and they will crack skulls to keep it. What really piques my interest in this who fiasco, is why the Clinton's have resorted to blatant republican tactics such as the use of 527's, voter suppression (as alleged in Philly), selective interpretation of primary election rules, and giving credence and platitudes to News-Corp (FAUX News), Rush Limbaugh, and Richard Mellon Scaife.

This whole episode surrounding Wright has gotten so insanely goofy, I can't believe that the same thing isn't happening to John Mc Cain for his wacko buddies. He's had this guy as his pastor for 20 years, but that's it, pastor. It's like blaming the student for having a crazy college professor.

11. They are pissed
Pissed that their constant pastor talk will look idiotic now that Obama did what needed to be done. They didn't think he would do it now they are pissed because what else are they going to talk about; what other hope do they have for their hopeless candidate now that Wright is a non-issue. I guess we can go back to talking about important issues like Clinton wanting to nuke Iran and her gas tax stance. They really don't want to talk about those issues though.

15. What sort of "Rovian tactics" can HRC supporters be using from waaay up here in the bleachers?
Many BO supporters seem to be paranoid beyond belief. If it rains on Obama, they bitch that Hillary made the dark clouds and ordered them to swoop down and dump water on him. More absurd, they somehow think that we innocent bystanders, amused though we may be, have some sort of power over Obama shooting himself in the foot, or that we somehow made Wright shoot Obama in the foot for us.

Face it. We have as much power to stop this imbroglio as you do: None.

We just happen to be enjoying it, like so many BO supporters enjoyed it when Hillary was falsely being labeled a racist.

19. All I can speak for is myself
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 11:12 PM by Secret_Society
I thought he should have denounced him in the Philly speech. But it is hard for me to buy that all of sudden he is offended. He was fully aware of the comments before this weekend. I am happy that he finally denounced him and believe it will help him politically. But it seems a little odd that now he is offended only when it started hitting him in the polls. "I can no more denounce him than I can the black community" Nothing new entered Wright's racist and divisive rhetoric, rather he just rehashed his greatest hits. What has changed now. Only polls. So much for the end of old, poll driven politics. Come down from the clouds everyone. Obama is a politician, not the harbinger of a brighter tomorrow.

33. I disagree,
Obama tried to give Wright some dignity to see the error of his ways, and/or give him the opportunity to explain himself. Obama went so far as to try and put it into perspective as a man talking of a different era, which in reality is true. To throw him under the bus immediately would have been political expediency. Obama took a risk, and chose to denounce the words of the man, not the man himself. Obama chose to rise above it, and give a beautiful speech on race relations. The ball was then in Rev. Wrights' court. Rev. Wright chose to come out and repeat many of the same things that Obama had denounced and frankly told him they were wrong in this day and age. Rev. Wright chose to ignite a fire again and repeat his HIGHLY controversial views to the American public. Rev. Wright chose to be devisive again, after Obama had clearly tried to give him some dignity and a way out to see the error of his ways. Rev. Wright chose to be arrogant, refusing to apologize if he offended anyone in anyway, and to put into context what he meant, whether the public bought it or not. Rev. Wright was indignant! Obama didn't do this for the polls, once again, he has taken a risk that you are failing to see.

What will the black community, which is part of his base, think about this? Will they a) think Obama did the right thing today, or b)threw one of their own under the bus, and be angry with him.

He took a major political risk today, not for polls, not for the nomination, but because it was the right thing to do for him personally. It was against his principles to continue to stand by a man that continued to be devisive.

21. This HRC supporter never said obama should denounce him.
The questions remain: Why did he stay a member of the congregation? Why didn't he speak up earlier? And why did he reward Rev. Wright with a campaign position even after knowing of his comments? obama said for the first time a few weeks ago that had Rev. Wright not recently resigned as pastor of the church, he would have withdrawn. But that only reraised the same questions: Why didn't he act before the resignation? Furthermore, after knowing about some of these sermons and having serious problems with some of their messages, why did Mr. Obama still decide to appoint Rev. Wright to his official presidential campaign religious advisory committee? The questions remain, and one other obama, WHY NOW?

I wrote last evening the whoremedia was showing obama the playbook on how to confront this wright controversy by telling him on the talking head programs how obama should go after wright. How to express himself. How to come off mad at what wright had said. Plus, there was the wink, wink from these same mediawhores that said to obama camp, if you do this we will protect your back and we will prop you up again and be postive for you in your responses. Well, the whoremedia did not let us down. All this afternoon and into the evening, the talking heads were telling us all how great obama did and how forceful he was against wright, etc etc.....this is such a sham, but what do we expect from the mediawhores that again are trying their best to select the president......
