Should we start a McCain data forum?

I've thought about that before - that we ought to be collecting various bits of info about McCain's policy positions, and changes in those, in a more organized way.

There have been several good threads on McCain policy positions today, but they end up scattered between the Political Videos, GD, and GD-P.

I know there are other good sites out there on the subject, some of which were in those threads today. Would it be helpful to have a forum here?

Seems like instead we could have a GE forum and have separate threads on the issues. There's enough there for at least a dozen separate threads (torture, gas tax, tax cuts, Iran, Iraq, health care policy, campaign finance, etc.)

A while ago Bonobo had a thread essentially calling for input/opinions on HOW we should go after McCain. It was really good to be all working toward a common goal and there were some GREAT approaches!

None of us is going to convince a supporter of the other candidate to come on over to our side, and regardless of who our nom is, McCain's the enemy -- let's do it!

19. I just posted on Arctic Dave's thread

that (listening to Rachel Maddow) several veterans in wheel chairs descended on McCain's Senate office to let him know what they think of his G.I. Bill proposal (which SUCKS) but he of course wasn't there -- out campaigning I guess.

That's gotta be a big issue - his continuance of the currently policy of NOT caring about our veterans!

I caught part of Rachel Maddow on the way home from work - she was talking about how a bunch of protestors in wheelchairs were arrested at his Senate office while he was speaking on health care in FL - and in FL he was introduced by a health care executive from a company in FL. :eyes:
