I am now officially non-excited about our candidates
I am not very happy that Barack Obama has denounced Wright. I still think he is probably the better nominee, just because the tone
of his saber rattling is lower and he doesn't have a history of supporting cluster bombs etc. , but I cannot say I am very excited about any of the candidates. I think from now on I'll just stop paying attention to the primaries and the people involved, and just vote Democrat in November for better or for worse.

2. It is if he buys in.
I am disappointed. Not deterred. My signs are still up, and I still think he is the best candidate, but I am disappointed.

3. I'm disappointed in the country
He didn't have a lot of choice. This country just doesn't want to crawl out of the shit pile. I don't know why, but look at this board. They prefer the potshots and hot button distractions.

7. I am that as well
But I had faith that if he held strong, enough people would have come along. I thought that is what the new politics, the "this is a distraction" came from. But this buys in and provides validation.

When he was handing us truth, even uncomfortable truth, I was stoked. He had full force "MSM is feeding you all BS and I am not" going for him. Now? I think this lowers him to their playing field. Hillary's playing field. And on Hillary's ground, she is Queen. What Obama had was that he was above it, and now he is in it.

Or to put it another way, part of his draw, for me, was exactly his lack of experience. He has picked up experience fast, but this indicates to me that he is learning the same wrong lessons from it that Hillary did.

5. He has a history of supporting GENERAL DYNAMICS.
They make cluster bombs, FWIW.
And they (the Crown family, owners of GD) have contributed a small fortune to his campaigns over the years.

6. Well, I'm sorry that Obama can't make you happy on this issue....
But he was not obviously happy himself.

Oh yeah, and Hillary is promoting the Obama/Wrigh controversy on Youtubes, demanding that Obama answers more questions about what did he know and when did he know it.

Of course, she screams bloody murder if anyone asks her to answer for the behavior and lies of her husband, but then, she's so much more special! :sarcasm:

8. True. Obama was forced to capitulate to a racial double-standard
He was forced by Camp Clinton and the M$M to answer for his religious ties, while Hillary's and McCain's more dubious connections go unchallenged. I see only one plausible reason for that.

9. Hopw you have the economic means and
health to survive any comparative differences or perhaps you think nader was right in 2000, about the parties in general , even after 8 yers of bush, and 8 more bush-like years on the way. The MSM did it's job it seems, you're doing what they and McCain and Bush and Cheney, want you to do.

12. I think 2006 pretty well proved Nader's point.
We worked very hard to elect Democrats and, frankly, they
really haven't done anything of any substance. Where are
the investigations? Where are the changes in election law?
What judicial appointments (or other appointments) have
been blocked? Where's the roll-back of the USA PATRIOT Acts
parts I and II? Where's the prosecution of torture? Or
illegal wire-tapping? Where's the ramp-down of the war?
Where's the promotion of energy efficiency?

Seriously, what exactly have they done besides try to
position themselves for re-election in 2008?

10. Geeze
give the guy a break. What was he supposed to say? God Damn America! Yeah, that gets you elected President. He is trying so hard to strike a balance and appeal to the most people so he can actually win this thing, he's caught in a unique position by his very makeup. He's being judged by everyone on his race. He has to make whites happy, he has to make blacks happy, but not on his merit, on his race. It's unfair. I think he's proven he's stronger than any candidate we've had in a LONG time. He's campaigning against 2 Clintons, a McCain, and racism, and he's hanging in there. He didn't fold, he's walking right through it. And it is a distraction and he made that clear AGAIN yesterday. This campaign is not about Rev. Wright, it's about $4 gas, no jobs, people losing their homes, and more than we can stomach dying in Iraq. So stand with him, and prove it doesn't matter. If not you're buying into it too. They always do that to someone who tries to run on "change" or "hope" they sling crap at them non-stop, and they take it and take it and finally when he has been backed into a corner and decides to defend himself, they say "see, he's no different" and that is absolutely false.

11. Welcome to the club.
I've been officially non-excited since Gore didn't enter
the race, and I've been downright depressed since Edwards
folded like a cheap suit.

Right now, I'm still willing to vote (in the General
Election) for my seventh choice out of the original
eight, but that's not saying much.:(
