is the way the Canucks do it.

12. I see. The date thing is a dead giveaway. It took me a while to get used to writing the
date using the US format after moving from Canada.

....in each of our families, we always believed you could make life better for the next generation.

In the next couple of months.....we want to get back talking about you. This campaign is not about me.

Edited on Wed Apr-30-08 01:07 PM by SemiCharmedQuark
Her voice is breaking as she talks about working for more for our children.

"But we also know that the lives that our kids are leading are not available to the children of the vast majority in this country and it’s not right."

26. Michelle is talking about thinking about the future for the kids
How every child should have access to a good education. Every child should not have to wait for hours in ER to get their health care (no primary health insurance).

Have to get ourselves as a nation to level the playing field so our kids can live out their hopes and dreams.

32. I'm yelling ~ Thank you Barack,thank you Michelle!
Finally ISSUES from real people.

Finally talking to ordinary people instead of Wolf, Tweety and all the other Rethugs.

No Debate~ the candidates need to listen to the voters.

This is it!

I love the easy way that he talks to people, like adults and like he truly values them.

This is fantastic.

Never again should they face false questions from people with agendas.

We don't have time for Agendas and SPINNERS, this is grassroots at it's finest.

28. For what is worth, we are going to be canvassing for Obama this weekend, again!
Hoosiers for Obama volunteers are working very hard to get Obama's message of hope and new politics out, particularly to low-info voters that tend to forget the role the Clintons played in NAFTA. Indiana is one of those states that has been hit particularly hard by NAFTA. My then-life partner saw the GE plant where she worked close down and moved operations to Mexico. NAFTA is not just an acronym to many of us.

I will return to my normal DU posting habits after Tuesday's primary, until then, I will only post whenever I get a free chance (like now!).

Best wishes to Obama volunteers in Indiana and North Carolina. Let's win for our future!

36. Let's win it ~ I've sent 200 postcards to Indiana voters
for Obama!

My message is written on the back of lovely picture postcards from California....

Hello,
I hope you have decided to...
VOTE FOR OBAMA!

G.Clark
California

It was so easy and three of my friends helped me.

I'm on my way to the post office to mail 100 more cards and I'll finish the rest of the batch tonight for mailing tomorrow. Those are for the Primaries after IA.

39. His ideas about kids getting "job exposure" in a field that interests them
is phenomenal. I wish that I had something like that available to me while I was in high-school. An internship would have been really beneficial. I might have been inspired to go to college. This guy could really turn this country around.

46. You are absolutely right! This was far better than any debate
Edited on Wed Apr-30-08 01:51 PM by goclark
I felt like they were in my back yard and we had a group of friends over.

What a refreshing CHANGE to see them actually listening to people and not in sound bits.

This made my day.

And oviedodem... take it from me,you nailed it.
Everything that we watched on the video tells us why they are successful...
1. They really listen to others
2. They value the people they meet
3. They speak to you like a treasured friend that sincerely wants to make your life better
4. They believe in our country and yet they know that it can be better
5. They believe in Education, not just to get a better job, but to enhance their ability to help others
6. They care

Bravo to Michelle and Barack Obama!
We love you and will work night and day to see you in the WH.

You.CAN. MAKE our country a better place.
God Bless America!

52. Great line, indeed! That's hilary in a nutshell..
she's been around for a long time and what does she do? She votes YES on the IWR with reading the 90 page NIE..and continued to support the bushits until mark penn told her it wasn't politically expedient anymore.. Since she can't figure out anything for herself.

Listened to all of it, and then Donated again.
I want a new America, and I think this is the man that can get things in motion.
I lived in Germany for 5 years and have been back for almost 2 years now, the inequalities that are here are just mind boggling, and why. because our policies don't work for the people.
I see adults with their prejudice against everything, that does not amount to nothing. The divide is caused by lack of involvement.
