Poll question: Kucinich Supporters, Obama or Clinton?
I saw this poll asked for Edwards Dems and, as a Kucinich Democrat, I was curious who other Kucinich Dems here on DU are currently leaning towards for this campaign.

1. I don't "Support" either one of them. I will likely whold my nose and vote for
whichever one is on the GE ticket, but I won't be doing a happy dance coming out of the voting booth by any means.

6. I was where you are when Kucinich first dropped out
but a couple of things caused me to take a closer look at Obama. The first was when Kucinich told Iowa caucus supporters to caucus for Obama in the event he didn't have the numbers to earn a delegate, and the second was when Obama gave his speech on race in America.

Since that time he has continued to impress me in further, not so much in policy matters as he is very different from my views on things like the Iraq War, LGBT issues, and Health Care being at the top of the list, but in "believability". I see something in him that is vastly different from either Clinton or certainly McCain, and I truly feel that he would put us on a path back to a more Progressive society. Would it represent the complete 180 degree turn from neo-Republican values and policies of repression like a Kucinich campaign would have given us? Not likely, but if that turn is anything greater than 90 degrees, which I think we would have with Obama, then in a small way we still pull a win of sorts and that would breed a more favorable environment for turning a bit farther with each new election. Baby steps for sure, but I think in the right direction (left) just the same.

2. Obama
I am not 100% happy with him, but I can't stomach the "obliterate" remark.
However, if Hillary is the nominee, I'll vote for her against McCain.

7. same here
Obama has more positives than Clinton, but she's better than McSame. Granted the McSame comparisn sets the bar pretty low, she's right above ham sandwich. :) :) :)

9. Kucinich was anti Iraq war so the next best person would be Obama.

10. Kucinich supporters appear to be breaking different from Edwards supporters
As of 8AM EST this morning the poll tallies showed:

........................Kucinich .. Edwards
Obama.................83% ..... 69%
Clinton..................9% ..... 18%
Other....................8% ..... 13%

I suspect the difference is partially a result of the Health Insurance issue. Interesting trends between the two camps though.

12. Neither, but either
LOL, this is what I posted in the Edwards thread as well. :)

I don't care for either, they are both centrist to moderately left politicians who seem like decent enough people but are very status quo. But I've made the long journey to writing in someone to the left of Eisenhower to simply acknowledging that I will vote for the Dem nominee in Nov.

AS I said in the other thread, I was really a Gore supporter, but would have been thrilled with Kucinich and happy with Edwards, so I consider myself a supporter of all 3!
