Michael Moore is one of my favorite Americans. "John McCain is four more years of Bush."
He is saying he has received letters from "older" women who feel a similar sense of the alienation that Rev. Wright has experienced as a black man of age.

Michael Moore is thoughtful and I just admire the hell out of him. I was fortunate to know him back in Flint.

I hope we can get together again in Traverse City, where I hope to retire in a few years. He's a great citizen there, and a great American anywhere.

"Everyone will join together, because we don't want a third term for the Bush Administration." Just said that, and it will be tough for me to do. Very tough. I will listen to him before I listen to the Obama haters here. Tough night for that.

Anyway, Michael Moore is the ultimate great citizen.

1. My sister-in-law's cousin is married to
Michael's step-daughter, so I consider him a member of my (very) extended family. He's a true American hero, one of the few voices in the media who has been onto the Bush Crime Family since day one. If more Americans paid attention to the hard cold truths he's brought them via his documentaries, this country would be much better off.

2. That's confusing, but thanks for the Michael compliment. Been to Traverse City?
If you're a relative, I suggest you contact "cousin Mike" and go visit. You won't want to leave. (Actually, I think he's in nearby Alden, but in TC all the time. I know. I visit from Maryland, and see him there.)

Obligatory TC pic:

3. No, never been to Michigan, though I have an aunt
and first cousin who live in a suburb of Detroit.

The picture is lovely!

5. Put it on your list. Look at the water!
Look at the map. It's spectacular.

What suburb? I grew up in Warren. Born in Detroit; know every inch of the area.

BTW, I lived in Detroit in the late 60s / early 70s and used to drink Faygo soda. Brings back memories.

Lived on Muirland Avenue between Pickford and Curtis. Near Hampton Elementary.

8. Michael Moore was great tonight!
I was practically cheering in front of my TV. What a breath of fresh air after all the usual dreck on cable news!

9. I Ran Into Him Once In NYC...
He was just out for a walk I think. I said "hi" but I didn't want to bother him. He seemed pretty easygoing and down to earth.

Anyway, I love his work, always have.
