http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/04/29/gas-tax-follies/Another interesting side of this Krugman as viewed by Obama supporters story is the way Huffington Post tries to take what he wrote and pretend that it did not include the criticism of Hillary (by simply not mentioning that criticism of Hillary by Krugman as they use Krugman's words about McCain to advance their little smear of Hillary ("she'll do anything to get elected" is once more tossed out to be eaten up by the Obama fans) ).
I favor a unity ticket with both Obama and Hillary on it in any order because crap like this has convinced me that there is no other way to bring us together and win - it will be 1980 all over again where one side treats the other as evil (as we can see is already being done by the Obama fans to Hillary supporters) and is not forgiven as they would rather have a Reagan that give their support to the supporters of the fellow that chose to run a slash and burn smear campaign while saying it was the others fault.
In any case below is the Krugman link - and the smear of Hillary at Huffington Post that uses the Krugman words about McCain.
April 29, 2008, Gas tax follies
"John McCain has a really bad idea on gasoline, Hillary Clinton is emulating him (but with a twist that makes her plan pointless rather than evil), and Barack Obama, to his credit, says no."

Krugman Assails 'Gas Tax Holiday' Plan That His Candidate Supports
"Well, as we know from reading the New York Observer, the Times' columnists are not in the practice of endorsing candidates. That's a good thing, I guess, considering the fact that the candidate Mr. Krugman seems to prefer, Hillary Clinton, backs the same gas tax holiday."
